"I was referred to Burnett as a patient. Before I could schedule my first appointment I was sent an enormous packet including dozens of pages of questions involving sensitive topics such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, and body issues. They expect that all these questions are answered in essay format prior to beginning therapy. This shows an astonishing lack of tact and empathy from a place that is supposed to be offering therapy. When I objected, I was told "Well, our other patients don't have a problem with it.""
"VERY unprofessional. Over a month ago they offered me a PT job. After that, they kept sending me emails asking where all my paperwork was. Never heard from anyone in person. As I was running around getting all the requirements (for a pt position) I started to wonder if they were a legitimate company after I had to pay completely out of pocket for my fingerprinting. I’ve been in Social work for 20 years and never had to pay totally out of pocket. (Second red flag). The final straw was they wanted me to get vaccinated for something I CAN NOT get nor carry. They wanted me to over vaccinate myself for absolutely no reason. Even though they had a physician’s letter stating there was absolutely no reason to require this. YET, they allow people to decline the COVID vaccine? What cracks me up is that any of the employees that physically have their vaccination records from High School are missing the same one I am. So they actually hire people that “can” get the virus! Again, uneducated and unprofessional. They refused to reimburse me for the 100 fingerprinting. My suggestion to anyone applying. Send in all your paperwork first, then do the fingerprinting. Now I know why this company has TERRIBLE reviews. STAY AWAY. They would rather hire riff raff that complies with their uneducated guidelines than hire professionals. This job for me was just to help out children. Now those children involved with this company are in my prayers."
"I did an interview with them and I was being ghosted a couple of times. The third time I received an email that they have moved on with another candidate, yet their post about the position is still up. Not moving forward was the best thing since there are many bad reviews about the place. The person that interviewed me was very much in a hurry and didn’t really have a welcoming personality."
"I received an email to interview from one of your employees, Malayasia Nealy as of this last Friday for a BT position - I then explicitly followed the directions to register my interview time and day through Google Meet, which I did. The interview time came & went - no phone call, no email from Ms. Nealy. The phone number that was attached in the original email was INOPERABLE!! I then telephoned your main number and left a message. Overall, this entire "virtual" experience with Burnett Therapeutic Services, Inc. has left a poor impression. I am curious to see if I will a receive any apology for their HUGE LACK of communication and integrity.."
"Please stay away. And I’m not trying to be snooty or rude. But this place is just so unorganized. The only positive I can say is they respond quick. That’s it. They kept changing my son’s therapist. He had 3 in ONE month! They don’t seem to be fully qualified either. The employees kept quitting. And to top it off I saw their job listing on indeed and nowhere on there did it say a degree in child development was needed or any type of experience/knowledge was required. That was my last straw. Pulled my son from here for those reasons"
