"Only 2 stars on Google!? Gotta set the record straight. I've rented here for about a year so maybe there's something I'm missing from not being an owner but I LOVE the highlands. There's truly nothing like it in Santa Barbara and I wish there were more communities like it - it would certainly help the housing problem we have the area. The condos are small but you can do a lot with the space offered. Plus, theres not just one, but TWO pools - one of which is 18+ which I thought was very considerate. That one also has a hot tub and sauna. We're also in such an amazing location. Walk options are abundant with Honda Valley trailheads right outside, as well as TV Hill offering some of the best views of the Mesa. There's hidden gems all over this neighborhood. Plus we're only a short ride or drive away from the Mesa, Downtown, the waterfront, and West side. I've personally taken walks to the Funk Zone and pier from here as well as runs that take me over to Ellings and the City College Stadiums easily. I've kept an eagle eye on the housing market as I'd love to buy here so I can say that the HOA fee seems very high. For what you get, though, I would argue it evens out over time. TWO POOLS and a hot tub and trails right outside your door, I mean come on! What more could you ask for?"

"worst ever management. i am not sure why we pay that much money, nothing gets done, except for promo fines if you leave something outside the door, or put a vertical container instead of a horizontal one for storage... no help when you need it ."
