"Enjoyed staying here. Plenty of parking, rooms were clean, hot tub was GREAT, and front desk workers were friendly. Walked across ths street to a restaurant for supper, lots of options. Only improvement would be a bit more protein options for breakfast, even just like microwaveable egg sandwiches or whatever. But we found the breakfast ok as it is, for us and the kids."
"The hot tub is as good as the ones I’ve used at $2,000 per night resorts .it. So spacious, clean, and always set at a perfect temperature! Your dog will love the setting with a large grassy area and your kids can enjoy a huge pool."
"This is an older property but very well maintained. Rooms are very comfortable and well laid out. Especially like the walk in shower. Great value but dont raise the price because I said that. My company has no problem with my expense account and I plan to stay 2 nights every 2 weeks. Staff knows me now and make me feel welcome. The goodie bag is appreciated. I now count on it."
"My friend and I had a lovely one-night stay in separate rooms and both rooms were large, clean, comfortable and had a lovely view from their patios, overlooking the pool courtyard. The visit was kicked off by incredibly competent, friendly and helpful registration service by Joel, truly a welcomed exchange after a long day of driving. The property is charming and well-cared for. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat."
"My recent stay at The Pepper Tree Inn in Santa Barbara was a complete letdown. The room remained untouched for three days, and the ongoing construction made the atmosphere anything but relaxing. Housekeeping's early morning noise was disruptive, starting at 7 am with loud banging and stomping. To add to the frustration, the bathroom had issues – windows that wouldn't fully close and a tub that couldn't hold water for a proper bath. The culmination of problems reached its peak when I discovered a $400 unauthorized charge on my credit card. Upon questioning, the front desk staff dismissively laughed it off, attributing it to a "mistake." The so-called "manager" Joel proved to be the epitome of unprofessionalism. Not only did he charge me for an extra night despite my checkout, but his attitude was rude and miserable. The hotel felt deserted, and it's no surprise given the appalling service. As someone who has worked at The Ritz-Carlton, I am appalled by the lack of standards at The Pepper Tree Inn. Joel's behavior raises serious concerns, and the overall experience was far from what one would expect from a reputable establishment. I won't be returning, and I strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodations in Santa Barbara."
