"I Rented a 34’ lift for a week to paint the outside of my house. The plastic that covers the cables that operate the lift keep coming off as I used the lift which caused the cables to get caught constantly. Luckily my husband was there to untangle them. When I called the manager he said it was a poor design and not to worry about it. We rented it for one more day only to have the lift alarm go off. We tried everything to get it to work to no avail. When we returned the lift the manager Isaiah refused to negotiate the last day’s rental and charged my credit card anyway. He blamed the alarm issues it on operator error. Considering we used it for a week with no alarm issues I don’t believe we were doing anything wrong. Isaiah was arrogant and made no effort to work something out with me. I will never use Area Rental in Delafield again. I just found out our neighbors have had similar issues with equipment not maintained and poor service. I spoke with the owner about 3 weeks after returning the lift. He agreed to credit my account for half the day’s rental."

"Where to begin? Here goes...... I've been irritated with this place for over a year now.... I took a couple days off of work to cut down a 65 foot tree in my yard, I rented a boom lift from another company as Area didn't have a big enough one available to use for the job, no worries, found one. I reserved to rent a 20" in blade chainsaw to cut down the base of the tree....When I arrived, they started it up, ran fine, and took it home. I began to cut the tree down and honestly couldn't have cut melted butter with this saw. I was 8 minutes away from the location so I immediately went to return chainsaw, total time gone approximately 45 minutes . When I arrived with the saw, I asked if they had another, the said, no, but if I wanted to drive to New Berlin and pick another one up that I could. I said, no thanks I'll just return this and go on with my day. They said, well, we're gonna have to charge you 65 dollars for the saw. I said, the saws blade is dull and couldn't use, they said, well, I have no choice. The person helping me said he would talk to someone above him and send the saw to be inspected by a technician to verify blade is dull and have a manager call me back..... Well...... it's been over a year now and have yet to be contacted by anyone from Area Rental, no call, no apology, no help, no money back, nothing..... I live and work locally near this rental facility and I assure you, anyone asking to rent anything, I defer to anyone else. Then lack of professionalism in handling a concern is pathetic and I hope this feedback is read by everyone before they decide to rent from Area Rental. Thank you for your time. Troy D Krieger ps. "The equipment I rented through them worked great and they were super friendly and helpful with showing me how to use the popcorn machine, nacho machine and the hot dog broiler. Made the party a success. When I dropped off the equipment one of the staff, Justin was very kind and helped me bring everything in. Great company!"

"We decided to try Area for a log splitter, previously had rented them through Home Depot. Absolutely preferred this process 100 times more than HD. The staff was very quick to assist and got me loaded and on my way. Unit was new and worked flawlessly. Return was quick and easy as well. Slightly cheaper too, but I was more impressed with the service plus supporting a local business. I'd come back to Area any time."
