"I have been living in Chesapeake bay apartments since 2019, it is really nice and quiet place, but unfortunately whenever I tried to request for 3 bedrooms, my request got denied. Hopefully, one day I can get 3 bedroom apartment because my kids grown up, and I don’t have enough room for all off us ."
"Hi my name is mirwais walizada by checking every day after 2 years they call me for apartment and I was qualify for this apartments my income was 44 thousand but there was a women her name was tawyla she did all processes on me i brought all documents for her I was not went to my job for 4 days she told me next time you should bring your deposit I talk with my manager which I am moving from apartment after 2 or 3 days tawyla call me you are not eligible for this apartment because your income is 66 thousand she was lied my income was 44 thousand I have my tax return everything and she was really 100 percent change and and her behavior was really ugly she not let me to talk with her then I talk with my friend and my friends called for tawyla she said deferent amount for him like mirwais income is 46000$ she was lied again she was not like a normal person and every body scary from her I tried to find her manager but I can’t I hope she never do like that with other people we humans we should respect others if you have any questions about that I am ready anytime I was really sad about that which she was lied about my income any way I hop I see one day her manager and and tell him my all pain thank you"
"Dalene the manager for the most part has been very helpful and kinda of lenient except when it came to my car being behind on registration. If you communicate with her she is pretty lenient. I didn't agree with the 150 dollar rent increase. After 3 years, I agree with some of the applicants with the availability, I had to rent without seeing my apartment. But for the most part they are pretty fair."
"Staying in Chesapeake Bay Apartments for last 1.5yrs. Nice quiet community. Mostly people commute to Bay area and you can see lot of Uber/Lyft cars around. Nearby to Art Freiler elementary school. Rental office people are friendly especially the manager. Give a chance I would suggest this place. Update on 9/23 - Though the above review still stays same after vacating the apartment as well, the return of deposit deducting the cleaning charges was very unusual. I was charged around 300$ though I left the apartment clean. Understood that the rental office ask a cleaning company to give a quote etc.. but this is unusually high and unfair. Hence reducing the rating above. Sorry."
"I have lived here since the last week of November in 2011, and my experience here has been terrible. Management: Oh, the hypocrisy! The rules apparently say we are to not have anything on our front porches, but this rule is not enforced AT ALL. In fact, the assistant manager has junk on her front porch and she's been here for over a year. Also, the rules state we are not allowed to have pets unless they are some type of Companion animal or registered service dog. We got approval for our extremely well behaved Mini Schnauzer almost two years ago, and the morning of writing this review, I got a letter from management shoved in my door, essentially saying "It's you guys or the dog". Finally, my neighbors have been caught several times vandalizing my property, and their own, and when I last tried to report them, the head manager did not believe me at all. Neighbors: Complete gamble when someone moves in next to you. You could have the nicest neighbors in town that look out for you and help you however they can, or you can have neighbors from H***. The latter is true for my current next door neighbors; they have racially profiled me and my ailing grandmother, threatened to have my ENTIRE family killed with just one call, egged my uncle's Toyota Tundra just because they were bored, and an unauthorized resident pulled a .44 Magnum revolver on me, when the rules CLEARLY state that Firearms are forbidden on the property. More on the eggings: This wasnt a one time thing. It has happened four times since they moved in. Also, they egged that truck during a time of mourning for my uncle, having lost his Police Sgt a month prior in the line of duty. Sanitation: What sanitation? The dumpsters are home to countless cockroach nests, aside from dumpsters hoodlums have set alight. Residents often send their kids to throw away the garbage and half the time they're not tall enough to get in the dumpster and end up leaving the bag on the ground. This makes responsible tenants such as myself look like utter slobs. Redeeming factors as of 7/1/16: Each unit has washer and dryer hookup in unit, and the maintenance crew is SO nice. Especially Jesse. He's the friendliest man living here, assuming you're a responsible tenant. Would I recommend applying for residence: Absolutely not. The rent is not fixed, it varies depending on your income, more than three times the actual value of the apartments, and is usually half of your monthly income. I already voice my problems above, and if I could afford to, I would move out immediately. EDIT: On 12/8/16, we were given 30 days to move out. Manager Dalene Howe deceptionally said that it would not count as an eviction, but months later, when my grandmother checked her rental history, it did. We did not receive any percentage of our deposit, and were charged $20 despite leaving the apartment in "immaculate condition, better than anyone ever does" according to former maintenance worker Jesse. The hostile, homicidal, criminal neighbors I had simply got a slap on the wrist. If you want honest management, friendly neighbors, good rental history, good credit, and a nice neighborhood, this is not for you. Or anyone sane, for that matter."
