"Went with my family last week while we were staying at Essentia. We needed to get out and decided to visit the Museum. It was an easy walk from the Hospital. Upon entering the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The building is beautiful and the collection of manuscripts, antiques and yearbooks was extraordinary. I would encourage anyone to take some time to visit. Entry was free but they do encourage you to make a donation of your choosing."
"A place to view articles of yesteryears and see wowing stained glass windows in beautiful theater like building."
"I spent some time in Duluth for a work trip and stopped by the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum. The steps in front had some construction going on so I wasn't sure I was in the right place at first, but once I walked in they had a really nice setup for the rotating exhibits on Charles Darwin, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Harry Houdini (I learned of some neat connections between the latter two). The curator, Matt, was great to talk to and cared about the exhibits, as well as how it may be used by the local university. Thank you for the informative experience!"
"The docent was knowledgeable and friendly. The inside of the converted church was cool looking, and the collection was interesting. The outside of the building looked a bit rough (and parking was a pain), but the inside was very well maintained. A nice diversion for 30-45 minutes."
"Absolute gem of a museum, the museums director was on site and very informative about the exhibits, the museum, and very friendly. There are permanent exhibits as well as rotating exhibits that travel between 10 museums of the same name across the country. While it is not a large number of exhibitions, they are extremely interesting and well curated. The museum is free to enter, but please donate! Bring cash as they currently do not have the means to take cards for online donations. They suggest 5 dollars per family or small group, but please consider giving at-least 5 dollars per person if you can afford."
