Reviews of The Asher
"Subject: Review of Experience at The Asher Apartments I moved to The Asher apartments in 2020, and as my lease renewal approached in April, I felt the need to discuss downsizing my unit to a more affordable option. In February, I approached the manager expressing my interest in relocating to a first, second, or third-floor apartment as the fourth-floor unit I currently occupied was considerably more expensive. I had noticed that similar units on lower floors were priced $500 to $600 cheaper. Initially, I explained to the manager that while I was exploring other options, I preferred to work with her to see if there was a possibility to continue residing in the building due to my prolonged tenancy. However, she insisted that I schedule an appointment to discuss the matter further. After arranging a meeting with her, the outcome was disappointing as she provided a range of excuses and seemed uncertain about accommodating my request without breaking the lease agreement. Despite my reluctance to terminate the lease prematurely, I hoped for a viable solution. The manager mentioned needing approval from higher management and assured me she would follow up. Regrettably, I have not received any communication to date, and I have observed that the available apartments continue to be offered at a more affordable rate, exacerbating my frustration. As a resident of four years who has consistently paid rent on time, I anticipated a more proactive and customer-oriented approach from the management. While one would expect a desire to retain long-standing residents with a good track record, my experience suggests otherwise. Our decision to relocate to a new apartment was greatly influenced by the lack of support and understanding exhibited by The Asher management in assisting a resident in saving a significant amount of money on rental expenses. Despite my willingness to compromise and move to a lower level unit, the manager did not exhibit any willingness to collaborate. Her repeated emphasis on avoiding lease termination overshadowed my genuine concerns about cost-saving measures. In conclusion, I am disheartened by the uncooperative stance taken by The Asher management, and the missed opportunity to work together to find a mutually beneficial solution. My hope was for a more customer-centric and accommodating response, particularly considering my tenure and payment history. I believe that the true measure of a resident's experience should be evaluated through the lens of how they are treated and supported, especially after a substantial period of occupancy."
"Overall the look of the community and amenities were great, but The Asher had a few things fall short. Noise is a big one and you will hear your neighbor walking above you at all times. You will hear when they take a shower or bath even. Our car got broken into inside of the garage and "they didn't have cameras in that spot of the garage" aka the first floor gated garage parking so nothing happened. The workers did not even contact the police and made no effort to help at all, so the stuff that got stolen was lost for good. As far as the security deposit goes... think of it more like an early cleaning payment for when you do move out because you will not be getting that back even if you clean your apartment before moving out like I did. I moved out a few months ago and not only did I not get back any of the deposit, but I also had to pay a few hundred extra for later charges that were not mentioned. When I tried to dispute these, I couldn't even get in contact with the office after calling 5 times on 5 different days, so of course I was left with only paying since they started to send notices in the form of calls and emails. Overall the community looks great and has nice amenities, but the Asher needs to make some changes before being considered a great place to live"
"We really like the community, it’s a newly constructed apartment complex with good interiors and spacious community spaces like Gym, rooftop and swimming pools. We have been here since 2020, the rents are getting bit expensive though. The maintenance team is really good & helpful. Rafi, our maintenance manager here makes sure he helps everyone on time and is very courteous. Cons : over the years, rent has drastically gone up a lot comparing to new apartments in the surrounding and in consideration of all safety concerns car break-in’s, bike theft and not to mention odd hours fire alarms"
"The best Apartment to live in Fremont. It has impressive amenities: 2 large pools, 2 club house and very good gym. It's newly constructed and luxurious. The staff are very professional, manager Ashley is very kind and helpful. If you are planning to move here please do check for offers, they have some great offers."
