"amazing apartments! i live here and I am loving it."
"This is an awful, dark cave of a place. The outside looks nice, but the inside is very poorly maintained and has clearly never been updated. All of the appliances are extremely old and barely work. Management will do everything they can to avoid replacing them when they don’t work. It’s very noisy at night, and there are many unsupervised children running around. The walls are super thin, to the point that my downstairs neighbors would wake me up in the mornings just making breakfast. My apartment always REEKED of cigarettes and pot from people smoking on their patios. I had issues with people parking in my parking spot, and management told me I was on my own to deal with it. The garbage is always overflowing. When I went to move, I was denied a formal walkthrough and a list of what they intended to charge me for, even when I asked (they will claim they did this, but they did not). Then they did not get me my deposit in a timely manner. I had to send them a letter with my intention of taking them to court. I did eventually get some of my deposit back, but I was never provided with an itemized list of what they charged me for. My apartment was clean and had no damage they could justify, but I imagine this all would have been WAY worse if there had been. I had to get in touch with Fremont’s fair housing department when moving out because they told me that they would charge me a fee to turn in my keys three days early because I needed to move on a weekend (I was not asking for any sort of refund). If I hadn’t moved 400 miles away, I would be taking them to court, as I have plenty of evidence of all of this. They’re completely shady. They also enter the apartment VERY often with little notice. They went in three times in one year without clear reason, and strange things had been moved. So I hope you’re ok with coming home at 6pm to see that they’ll enter sometime in an eight hour window the very next day. I fully believe they do it to snoop, because they never gave real reasons for it. At the end of the year, they tried to increase my rent the maximum they can by law (per rent control), even though new apartments with the same layout were open and renting for the price I was currently paying. So expect them to raise your rent the most they can every year. The neighborhood feels safe walking around, but there were regularly issues with many car break ins overnight, which was bad to the point that they would need to post signs up around the complex. I have lived in my fair share of apartments, and this one was easily the worst managed of them all. One upside is the neighborhood. Niles is of course amazing."
"They raised rent so much that most people left. You have no AC why are you charging so much. Beware you will never get the deposit back. When we moved in we had to put lots of repair requests, now we are out trying to get deposit back they say we we owe them money! They’ll charge you unnecessary. No fan in bathroom so you’ll get mold! The receptionist are rude, don’t pick up phone or reply to voicemail when needed. Your car is not safe either! Multiple times we found out trunk opened in the morning even tho we locked everything at night."
"Loved the neighborhood. I always felt safe walking my dogs at night and loved the food trucks. But when they updated the washers they charge 8.00 a load for laundry. So beware! I do have statements showing the charges. I was there almost 2 years they up my rent by 200 each year. Ended up paying 3285 a month. When it was only supposed to be 2850. Also they come in all the time charged me to fix the wall. Now they are charging me an extra 2300 for move out expenses. Like new carpet, painting, the curtain "I dont know why that one". Plus keeping the deposit. Please avoid these apartments."
"I really loved living here for the past year and a half. Community was safe and quiet, neighbors were friendly, and front office staff was always available. My apartment was in the perfect location, and if I ever had an issue, maintenance would help me right away. They were great! There is lots of parking, and a secret outlet/street to get you right to the running trails. Highly recommend!"
