Olivera Villa Apartments

"Rent is reasonable and it's within walking distance of North Concord BART. Irma and Mike are nice and they repair broken things quickly. Unfortunately, the thin walls, poor insulation and extremely noisy and inconsiderate neighbors make living here very difficult. Also, the 1 bedroom units are either East or West facing and they have no balcony/patio, so you'll only get natural light for half of the day."

"Olivera is a small apt community. Rent is cheap for 2 brms. Tenants always complaint about noises upstairs. Moving around upstairs is limited because noises go through the floor to the lower floors. The noise from the bart is disturbing. There is no playground so kids will get very bored. Its is not far from Safeway store about 1 mile and close to dowtown Concird. Bart station is in walking distance."

"This place deserves zero stars. I really didn't want to say anything, but I still live here with my husband and I don't want to have to deal with retaliation from anyone. However, in all honesty, I have to give a fair warning to others. This place is not a great place and is very dated. For 1,600 a month, it's not even worth half of that. We informed the Landlord a few weeks ago that there was cockroaches here and she told us that that she'd deal with it. No one has come by here to deal with any of it. Last week, we asked when were they going to deal with it? She stated that it would be before Monday, since there are five other tenants that complained about cockroaches. It is now past Monday and it is Thursday and still no one has come by. We have a growing collection of cockroaches in a plastic container. Do not rent here, there is no excuse for not dealing with an insect infestation for so long. AFTER MOVING OUT- We never got our deposit back. They kept saying it was in the mail, then they said it was sent from the main office, but we NEVER got it."

"DO NOT MOVE HERE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST DON'T!!! Unless you like having your tires slashed, all sinks leaking, lazy landlords, and being afraid for your life, don't move here. I had to get a restraining order against a tenant after three months of living here. WORST APARRMENT COMPLEX EVER!!"

"This is the WORST experience I have ever had at an apartment complex. The neighbors above me were unbelievably loud every night up until 2-3 and then by some miracle would still wake up and make more noise at 6. I'm a student and my sister works very early for her job and this is effecting our work tremendously. The landlord, Chris, couldn't be more unhelpful or rude. After my many complaints of the noise he very condescendingly asked, "Have you ever even lived in a downstairs basement before? That's what it's supposed to be like." Trust me, I'm pretty sure kids screaming and running back and forth the length of the apartment for hours on end accompanied by a blasting TV or spanish polka music is not the norm. After receiving no help from him I had no choice but to call the cops who luckily put an end to the madness. Let's just see how long that even lasts. Oh and everything breaks and the kitchen cabinets give you SPLINTERS. And I think it's HILARIOUS they continue to describe this place as "tranquil." Because if it's not the neighbors above you it's the one's right outside your window loudly chatting away until 2. Moving into this apartment was the worst decision of my life. I wouldn't wish this any anyone else so please for the love of god, choose somewhere else."
