Clarion Hotel Concord/Walnut Creek 1050 Burnett Avenue, Concord, CA 94520

"My first encounter at registration did not give a good impression as staff was not forthcoming about amenities at hotel. Only asked for my credit card then gave me directions to the elevator and my room cards. I didn't say anything as I thought there would be more information in the rooms. There was nothing. I returned downstairs after dropping off my bags and went down to check out there advertised snack / deli bar of which there was no deli bar and the snack selection was limited. I bought 4 bottles of water and asked the attendant about the free breakfast and where I would go for that as well as if they had a restaurant there. I was told no restaurant though it had been advertised as one and that there were many restaurants just behind them at the Veranda. Needless to say I had a very poor impression. The hotel itself though a bit outdated and in need of a face-lift was clean. My room was clean and comfortable. No USB ports though for charging devices. The weekend staff were very helpful, professional and accommodating. All in all I would stay here again now knowing what to honestly expect."

"Great location! Rooms could use an update. But things are clean and staff is accommodating. The bar is lovely. Iris the bartender is a great mixologist! Food is good too. Just wish food was available a little later. All n all 3.5 stars"

"This is the first bad review I have ever given . This place is horrible. There manager the worst ever. Most of the front desk people are wonderful,.house keepers A+, . The rooms are unfinished bare dry wall unfinished painting. Filthy carpeting,and an unforgettable smell of raw sewage ,.I've stayed a few times same smell each time .the curtains are still the same curtains from when it the Holiday inn like a hundred years ago holes and what not. There breakfast is nothing but a jimmy sausage sandwich that you get at a gas station. They tell you will be in the newly refurbished tower which you pay more for . Trust me there is nothing newly period. They charge 200 deposit that you get back weeks later,then they blame on your bank which is a bunch b.s. don't dare complain or the manager with the personality of a stump will make you more uncomfortable then you can ever imagine. How she got in to the hospitality business behooves me. She is pure nasty to the core.never felt more like not getting my money's worth then here . I am a choice diamond club member with enough points to stay several nights for free . I would not use one point to stay in this obviously poorly managed hotel .if you don't believe me book a room here and you are surely going find out ask to meet the manager she is a real delight. First negative review ever if I don't have something nice to say I never say anything at all that's what my mama taught me . I don't want anyone to have the awful awful experience that I had"

"This hotel is the heart of hospitality. The newly renovated rooms are super comfortable and clean, and the staff are great and always willing to help whenever they can. Free breakfast, wifi, and parking !! Definitely stay at the Clarion if you want an easy-going, stress-free stay! Not to mention tons of restraunts and entertainment less than 5 minutes each direction."

"Rooms were a little dated and clean except for a roach found in the bathtub. Beds slept well and it was quiet. The Breakfast needs to be revamped. For the price using a room ration on microwave food is not acceptable. Employees must live in the hotel as their families are camped out in the parking lot. If I were to visit this area I would not stay in this hotel. For the price of the visit you can get more for your dollar elsewhere also a $200 deposit is crazy. If I had not booked - stupidly non- refundable I would not have stayed."
