"Four Reasons Not To Live At Sunrise Residences: 1. Hygiene - the building we lived in had significant odor issues. The first floor smelled of human waste and mold for several weeks. This was brought to the attention of management but they failed to take any action to remedy the situation. 2. The dumpsters... Honestly one of the more frustrating complaints we had. For the first 6 months or so of our stay at Sunrise, the dumpster area was completely neglected. Trash would pile up to the point where you had to toss things in from a distance. The parking spaces and adjacent areas were constantly littered with trash because of this. The area was also a popular attraction for the local homeless population. Which lends to the 3rd complaint 3. Security - or the lack thereof. Too many encounters with drugged up homeless folks with access to the complex. One homeless couple managed to set up camp on a discarded mattress behind the aforementioned dumpster for several days. Additionally, we noticed a few car windows that had been smashed in. Not sure of the circumstances but definitely concerning. 4. Management: Perhaps the true underlying issue here. Our experience with management at Sunrise was less than favorable. Naima, the onsite manager was extremely rude to my husband and another resident. Her idea of community improvement involves sending threatening emails without taking any real action to address concerns of the residents. If you make the unfortunate decision to make Sunrise residences your home you will see for yourself. Overall very disappointing experience."
