Reviews of Delmonico Apartments
"Avoid this place at all cost, here's why: * like others mentioned on the reviews, this place is infested with cockroaches (wish I had taken pictures to show how bad this is) * The walls are not soundproof, and this is especially bad for the units that are closer to the street * The gym is basically useless; I reported 2 damaged machines (out of around 4) and management did't do anything about this * They charged extra on top of the deposit for what would be considered normal wear & tear. They replaced the carpet (which was in a good state) and charged more than $1k for this * The management is unresponsive and rude"
"Moved in and killed 6 roaches on the first floor of my town house the same day. Moved out the next day. Worst thing is that the company refused to collaborate on resolving the issue - i was coming from outside the country, spent over $1000 extra urgently renting the airbnb for my wife and two little kids, public storage space etc and they just said it is not their business."
"Lived here for 3 years and was let from our lease due to construction happening at the entrance to our unit so we decided to downsize. Smaller units here way too expensive for what the whole complex offers. We lived here with our service dog, she registered, etc. and we didn't move far from here. when we left We made some very good friends so we come back often to visit. Prior to our moveout we were told that our unit was going to have the windows and slider changed out, all new appliances, rugs, etc. We were still forced to have the unit "professionally" cleaned, which is something you have to watch for in your lease. You cannot clean the unit, a "professional" service has to. So we paid all this money to clean all these things, just to have them torn out and disposed of. Next we were back visiting with our service animal just the other day and some woman, don't know who she is because they keep firing managers, so she may have been a manager telling me I have to leave with my dog. I tried telling her that our animal is a certified Service animal and had even lived at the apartments for over 3 years. She tells me that I no longer live there so I had to take my dog away. I informed her I was visiting friends who live there and she is a "Service Dog", who is by law allowed to be with me while I visit. She continued "loudly" telling me I had to leave with my "service animal". So as to not make trouble for the friends I was visiting I left. Totally thrown off guard due to our "service dog" has been there visiting for the last two months and nothing ever said. One of the owners stops by, not inquiring of her status, calls this woman to have her come down and throw us out. But the kid with the marijuana prescription can carry his bong and smoke his "medicine" wherever he likes. This "service dog" is for a Disabled Veteran and this is how we are treated. Between the constant flow of homeless that sack out on the lawn under bushes, using the showers and bathrooms late at night leaving behind clothes, crack pipes, fecus on the floor, etc., I would think twice."
"The apt complex looks good but mind you what looks good and serene from outside may not be good from inside. The upper management seems to be very very non cooperative due to which manager has to behave like that. Not at all friendly to tenants and looks like they don't follow proper business ethics. Also have heard problems with pest and noise due to highway next to the apt complex. Location wise it looks good, but only after watching them closely i got to learn about cons of this place..."
"Good place to live by. Quiet , peaceful and good amenities. Near to Castro Street and other eating outlets."
