"TL;DR great residential manager, but the building itself has too many issues that you don't have to put up with. Ervin, the residential manager, is the best thing that ever happened to this place. He always responded to the maintenance requests quickly and never forgot a thing that I mentioned in passing. He is the best residential manager I've had and he deserves 5 stars. That being said, the building itself is undergoing major renovation projects non-stop. I recommend that you double triple quadruple check with Greentree and the city records to see if any of the neighboring units are going to be renovated during the lease term, because if they are, you will find the noise a huge, inescapable headache in this small space. On top of the construction noise, the building is 100+ years old so when they re-route the pipes during renovation they often had to shut down water. Water shutdowns happened at least 3 times (for a full work day each time) during the 8 months I lived there. There is no air conditioning and I didn't expect that for a building of this age so that's fine. But the walls are poorly insulated, which means that the hot water pipes running through the walls (for radiators) are giving off heat into my apartment all the time, even though I never turned on the radiators. So my apartment was never cooler than 75F even in the middle of winter."
