Baker Beach Apartments

"When I first moved in I gave this place 4 stars and 6 years later due to what now seems like endless fumes from BBQ and open pit burning from baker beach, wildfire season is nearly every day, and I'm preparing to leave what now can be called a kennel with comfortable accommodations for humans. Densely packed grouping of former low bid built army housing in a beautiful seaside location. Thin walls and floors, expect to hear dogs, neighbors on the phone, TV - music coming through walls, floor. Free twice- to thrice weekly 5- 7AM trash/recycling dumpster trucks wake up service, and yes the leaf blower guy will further disrupt the peace in a monthly futile fight with nature. Leasing company agents are polite."

"Be very careful with your decision!!!! My deposit was $3700 and we only received back $1100. All because the floors were scratched up. Or they said. presidio- your floors are 80 years old. Replace them with luxury vinyl and they wouldn’t scratch so easily. Plus, the entire time we lived there the floorboards creaked loudly upon each step. This is absolute obsurdity! They won’t negotiate with you. Just taking peoples money like it’s yours. I regret ever moving to the presidio residences. Awful awful awful. The floors were not in bad shape upon exit. Just 20 square foot under 2 planters needed to be sanded! Not the entire place. BEWARE"

"Shout out to Kelly in the Presidio leasing office! If you are considering living in the Presidio, I would strongly recommend working with her! After 8 weeks of going back and forth with other leasing agents about a small utilities refund, Kelly got my problem solved within 24 hours. Thanks, Kelly! You rock!"

"The reviews on yelp are a more accurate reflection. Yes, the location is great, but this is off-set by the dangerous amount of black mold from these buildings not being properly maintained. You can’t just paint over black mold...many of these buildings (including mine) need to be gutted for the safety of the residents. The Department of Health needs to get in here and do something. Management also uses intimidation tactics because they are the “fed” lol ok. I’ve seen people “vetted” by the presidio trust living here that are addicts, have severe diagnosed mental illness...it’s a joke to try and sound exclusive and basically cover for administration mistakes by management. Upon moving in, there were problems with the paperwork that were imho completely avoidable and more cumbersome than actually buying property. I’m honestly worried that the paperwork to get off the lease will be lost by the office just like the person who previously lived here... I literally asked for a notary to confirm these documents were signed and Angie told me “a notary isn’t in your best interest” ...just WOW. I’m currently getting physically sick from this mold."

"Gosh, I lived here when my husband was in the Navy back in 1992-1994. 1532 Pershing Drive Apt B (rent was dirt cheap compared to the $3000/mo now) - Greatest views ever! We retired back in 2012 and have only come back to visit this site twice since leaving the area in 1996. So happy to see these apartments were renovated and not destroyed to make room for the proposed highrise condos investors wanted to build here. I will always love the Presidio!"
