"Do not move here!! It’s a terrible place to live.People leave abandoned vehicles here and there is never any parking! Like ever! The laundry facilities are dirty and broken half the time. Packages get stolen from the lobby. (There are no security cameras).Roaches are present in our unit. I regret moving here and can’t wait till my lease is up. Update: parking is still a nightmare here. They have implemented a parking permit system which is a joke . Half the cars don’t carry a permit and still illegally park here. I posted a picture below that shows cars circling the lot like sharks looking for parking. I have called and email management and still no resolution. They Have even given me misinformation regarding the issue. They will post a generic response here to make it look like they care and will solve the issue but they don’t! They will charge u 2x the rent to terminate your lease. But apartments in sf are newer and cheaper so I’m seriously considering breaking my lease based on the roaches and parking situation here and the fact Amazon packages get stolen here. This place sucks ."
"If you are considering moving here, let me tell you our experience. We are halfway through our second one year lease contract, and I say that regretfully. At the end of November 2023/early December 2023, we received notice of a Pest Control Inspection as our apartment building, 25 Poncetta Drive, has a cockroach issue, our apartment included. The problem seems to have only gotten worse since the inspection and to my knowledge nothing has been done. The roaches probably have to do with how poorly kept the trash areas are. Trash overflow can happen at anytime, I won’t fault management for that, but the trash areas have never seemed to be cleaned. Trash is removed sure, but the area has not been washed and rinsed a single time in the one and half years we’ve lived here. We are constantly re-washing our own dishes and utensils before using as we do not know if roaches have crawled all over them when in the cupboards. I constantly worry about roaches getting into every nook and cranny in the apartment and for the cost of rent to live here, this is not how one should expect to live. But that isn’t the worst part. The front door to our apartment building is constantly broken. Whether it’s the hydraulic system going out and you’re constantly hearing a heavy glass door slamming because of it, or the locking mechanism itself being out for days on occasion. Not to mention the automated garage gate below the apartment. We pay $115 a month for a parking spot, for the convenience and for the additional safety of our vehicle. This past holiday we left town on Saturday 12/23/2023 and returned Wednesday 12/27/2023, only to find the garage gate wide open as it had been malfunctioning since we left. It was then fixed only yesterday 12/28/2023, but that entire time, thieves had full access to vehicles while being sheltered from the outside elements, and having the privacy of being outside of the public eye to probe our vehicles from the safety of the garage we all pay monthly for. But that’s not even the kicker, that entire time, anybody on the street had full access to all parts of the apartment building at all times of the day. Think about not only your packages in the lobby, but more importantly the safety of your loved ones. If you are considering Westlake Village Apartments, then take my review and the numerous 1 Star reviews on here into careful consideration. Early termination of your lease can be up to 3x your monthly rent depending on when you give them notice you are leaving since they do require 30 days written notice. Which considering everything I listed above, is unacceptable. We are putting in our early termination notice, I hope that you don’t find yourself in the same position as us in the future."
"I am living here for 6 years but last 2 years is getting worse!!! I’m extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of Westlake Village Apartments team, particularly in the common areas. The parking lot is an absolute disaster, with garbage strewn everywhere. It is evident that the management never bothers to clean the garbage cans, as they are constantly overflowing and emitting a foul odor. The floors in the common areas are disgustingly dirty and have clearly not been properly maintained. To make matters worse, the presence of homeless individuals sleeping in our laundry room is not only a safety concern but also a major sanitary issue. It is unacceptable that the management allows this to happen, as it puts the residents at risk and compromises our overall well-being. I strongly urge the management of Westlake Village Apartments to address these cleanliness and safety issues immediately. It is their responsibility to ensure a clean and secure living environment for their tenants, and they are failing miserably in this regard."
