"I went to an orientation and wanted to participate in their "Healthy Solutions" program. They make it very difficult to start the program. They have only a few times offered and those times are weeks away. You must go to an in person class once per week which is great for accountability, however you have to go at the same day and time each week. If you miss more than one or two, you will get kicked out. This type of schedule makes it very hard for someone who has a busy life with work and family and may need to go on a Tuesday one week and a Wednesday another week. There was no follow up phone call to begin the program. Being highly motivated at this time, I called the clinic to set something up but got very vague answers. They offer an online program once per week on Wednesdays at noon for a half hour but you must log in from the same computer each week. Also, there is no in person accountability so in that case you're better off just buying the food from an HMR website. The food is the same Medifast type food, just branded differently-they use HMR's food. Overall, the program is very inaccessible, inflexible with times and the follow up to get started is terrible. I joined Jenny Craig two days later b/c I wanted to begin to change now and most other diet / lifestyle change programs can accommodate a person's schedule and motivation. I'm guessing that this program is geared toward a person's last ditch effort before bariatric surgery when the person is read the riot act about their weight and they really have no choice but to commit to a hardcore schedule with no wiggle room for life. That's not me and I'm very disappointed that I wasted 2 hours at a information gathering orientation that focused a lot on insurance and color coded cards that indicated where you stand payment-wise based on your insurance. That alone is very disconcerting. This was NOT the SHARP EXPERIENCE that I expected."
