"I have had Kaiser for 20+ years. It has gone through changes and I have to say I am impressed with the quality of care and attention to patient communication and overall healthcare that have come over the years. Dr Andrade has been my primary care physician for quite awhile now and highly recommend him as a knowledgeable and caring physician."
"Everybody I came in contact with so kind and went out of their way to help me I’m a new patient. My primary care doctor Tran is so kind and sweet. She made me feel like I was talking to a family member, she is a very kind person."
"I have been coming this facility for few years now. Dr. and the nurses are great and all the workers as well."
"When you can get in to see somebody they're great. The problem is it takes weeks to see your primary care doc and MONTHS to see a specialist. I had an appt with a specialist that I made 3 or 4 months ago and for some reason it had to be in person (test results) so I had to take the day off work. Then they called the other day and moved the appointment. If you need treatment with in 2 or 3 days the ER and urgent care are your options and the ER wait times are usually 6-8 hours and UC is usually around 4 or 5 and half the time they just tell you to go to the ER. I needed a treatment a few weeks ago and decided to go to Sharpe ER and just pay. I was in and out in an hour. It would have taken that long for somebody to take my blood pressure at Kaiser. Next chance I get I'm gone."
"Response to business: Yes, I filed (yet another) useless member grievance form. Yes, I filed a Dept of Managed Health complaint. Yes, I did both of those prior to detailing this experience. No, I don't expect you to get better. I'm really not sure what to say, after 10 years of Kaiser membership, we are finally done being treated this way. Original feedback: Same as every Kaiser. Admin/appointment call center/other administrative staff has NO idea what they're doing. They constantly give conflicting info / guidance that ends up wasting your time. We drove 1 hr to this facility for an amniocentesis for my high risk wife (I was her support person), yet on the three calls to them before arriving, no one told us no support person was allowed if they had a child with them. We asked, let them know we would have our 2 year old, and no one mentioned anything about not being able to have him there. She felt uncomfortable without a support person, misinformed by numerous staff in diagnostic imaging, genetics, & OB departments, and now feels like every time we have to engage with staff from this region, her blood pressure skyrockets. She spent her 1.5 hours in the room in tears, asking nurses questions such as "what if I was here as a single mom?" or "why didn't anyone tell us so we could arrange childcare?" (they had no answers, just "oh oops sorry we were supposed to tell you, hehe"). On top of that, staff in this Kaiser region constantly treats male patients and caregivers as if they are DV criminals with no evidence whatsoever. Despite my wife's insistence that I am her support person, I am constantly barred entry or denied. No attitude, no behavior issues, NONE. Just gender discriminated against for being a male. No one cares or respects your time at all from the SD Kaiser region. They just want to get you off the phone or out of the clinic as quickly as possible. Member grievances do nothing but placate, and advocates don't actually advocate for patients/clients. We pay a ridiculously high premium just to be shamed out of services that we pay for. This is the most predatory provider I have ever been with, and after 10 years with Kaiser, I cannot wait to leave the network. All thanks to this facility (as well as the entire SD area admin team). Save yourself hassle if you live in Greater SD and get anyone BUT Kaiser for your healthcare insurance and provider. Don't let the "high ratings" fool you, they're just as broken as the rest of the healthcare system. I have filed yet another member grievance against these teams of clowns as well as a California Department of Managed Healthcare complaint."
