"I need desperate help with Lifestance’s billing. I absolutely adore my therapist and have made so much progress in the past few years and am doing my damnest trying to facilitate an issue with their billing department. I have tried EVERYTHING and have now resorted to writing a review in hopes that SOMEONE will read this and finally end my stress. The management of Lifestance is honestly a joke and just about the most stressful company to deal with. Countless messages with zero response or unhelpful answers, like being told they will simply escalate my concerns. Countless calls to billing with 2+ hour wait times (with only one making it’s way to a live person). I was told my issue would be dealt with in about two weeks and would receive a call back - NOTHING. Now I can’t get a hold of anyone! Even the customer service reps can’t get direct access and have told me to just keep on calling!!! My insurance showed up as ineligible for some reason in their system and during my weekly sessions I incurred a $1000+ balance. I followed up with my insurance company after receiving a call from Lifestance claiming my card on file didn’t go through. Thank God it didn’t because I would have bounced several bills like rent! Lifestance NEVER called my company to verify my eligibility nor followed up with me after noticing the change in the system or problem with my insurance. Even though I have been attending sessions for two years with continual eligibility in the past - they simply just tried collecting the funds without offering true patient service. Truly disappointing and disgusting for a company priding itself in patient care. I have spoken to so many Lifestance reps about this to no avail. Now I am receiving countless messages to pay my balance or risk being sent to collections over a system error! I have correspondence with my insurance company claiming my coverage was never ineligible. They have told me the solution is simple! All Lifestance has to do is rerun my insurance regarding those sessions - still nearly three months later and I am continually dealing with this problem which is drastically exacerbating my mental health. I do NOT have the means to pay $1000+ in medical costs nor do I think anyone should have to over a billing falsehood. If I receive a corporate response to this review telling me to contact the same billing line, billing email, or patient portal that I have already been in contact with I am going to lose my mind. Billing PLEASE call me directly. You have my name!!! Better yet PLEASE DO YOUR JOB and stop having patients have to do it for you while slapping them with bill after bill and harassing phone calls and messages!!"

"Sarah was one of the most helpful therapists I ever had. Not only did she teach me how to use DBT by myself but she was the one who suggested I seek a therapist who’s fluent in my primary language, American Sign Language. Due to LifeStance’s lack of ASL-fluent therapists I had to leave."

"I love my doctors through LifeStance and my first referral went smoothly. When it came time to renew my referral. I contacted my insurance company, they gave me the referral letter. I then called the main number for LifeStance and they provided me with an email to send the referral to since there is no way for me to upload it to my patient portal. I never heard back after I sent the email so I called and it was confirmed that they have received the referral. For the last 3 months my therapist has been telling me my referral is outdated and I need a new one. Everytime she tells me this I call LifeStance and they tell me I am good to go: my last therapy session was cancelled because my therapist is being told my referral was never updated. However this appointment was not cancelled until I was in the video chat. Life please get your act together. If I need to resubmit the referral somewhere else let me know and I will do that. I’ve been saying this for months. This isn’t ok."
