"My first Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner was good and helpful for me and med management, but she recently left the company. They assigned me to a new Psychiatric NP. I googled his name and found out that he was the ex-husband of my previous Psychiatric NP. He has a more holistic approach (mind/body/spiritual connection) to treatment, which I'm not against. Still, I've been seeing a cognitive behavioral psychologist on and off for 14 years and a psychiatrist for seven years. I know my body and mind well and what works for me. I asked to switch my meds as I'm going through a difficult time dealing with complex traumatic events over the last six months. The ex-husband's Psychiatric NP wouldn't switch my meds and told me that we have to move on from traumatic events, try yoga, and go for more walks. He was disengaged and did not listen to anything I said. I was just another number in a sea of patients he had to see that day. If I had not had 14 years seeing therapists & 7 years seeing psychiatrists, I would have committed suicide immediately. I think getting treatment from the ex-husband of my prior Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a conflict of interest and can be very dangerous—shame on Family Psychiatry Counseling & Wellness! You are putting your patients at risk without care!"
"My recent Zoom with Family Psychiatry left me worse than they found me, all thanks to the session with PMHNP Holly Jacobson. First off, there was a lack of preparation – my surveys weren't ready, which felt like a waste of time. During the session, PMHNP Holly Jacobson was argumentative and dismissive of my concerns about ADHD. But what really got to me was one comment in particular, as I questioned her unfriendliness: "You don't understand the number of people who seek out our services and don't actually have ADHD. You probably just have low-grade depression." It felt like a punch in the gut. Seeking help for mental health issues is hard enough without being made to feel like your concerns aren't valid. I wouldn't recommend Family Psychiatry to anyone looking for support. The vibe was all wrong, and Holly's behavior was a major letdown."
"I would give zero stars if I could. I usually don't write reviews but I had to for her. Dr Saifuddin and her staff are extremely unprofessional. No one ever answers the phone. If you leave a message, you are lucky to get a call back. My daughter's medication wasn't sent into the pharmacy correctly so it was denied by insurance and the office took weeks to fix it. Dr. Saifuddin has the worst bedside manners I have ever experienced. I should have checked the Yelp reviews before seeing her. She has zero compassion. I asked her questions about my daughter and she told me she is not here to assess her personality (we went to her for medication, isn't that part of her job!). She just wants to prescribe and pass you on to see her nurse practitioner. She does not care about her patients at all. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for a doctor. Don't waste your time like we did."
"Honestly I don’t know where to begin. Whoever works front desk here is literally horrible. At first I saw Dr. Earnest I switched soon after my prescription wasn’t put into cvs. When I called the office and said that I needed the medication the front desk lady told me “ He didn’t put it in, because you’re not prescribed it.” To which I replied “ well that’s concerning, considering Dr Earnest was the one who put me on the medication.” Long story short I had to WAIT to get another appointment with him so that he would fix it. Fast forward, I’ve switched psychiatrists from Dr Earnest to Dr. Amanda Duwick not sure if they have the same receptionists or what, but I needed information regarding MY CASE sent to a caseworker of mine. It’s been 8 days and no one has gotten back to my or my caseworker. I’ve called and mentioned many times that I’ve needed this and when I do get ahold of a front desk I’m told I’ll get a call back and never do. I needed to make an appt. No call back. I’ve left several messages. Still no call back. And I’m now having my section 8 application revoked because this office is not sending the verification they need. When I ask if there’s a manager I can talk to I’m told that I can continue to talk to whoever I’m currently talking to. ( so I’m pretty much told no.) this is unprofessional. Not to mention the toll all of this is doing on my mental health. Psycatrists are supposed to be professional ; and safe. And I’m not seeing any of that there. I really wish the psychiatrists could see how they are being represented. The front desk ladies need to be talked to, because this is ridiculous."
"I love my doctor! However..... do not schedule appointments on weekends. No one is there to help you. I had an appointment and never received the Zoom link. I called two phone numbers and no one responded so couldn't join our appointment. I hope they do not charge me the $175 because "missed or not showing up" to the appointment. I have been waiting since before the meeting started and way after and no one has responded or sent me the Zoom link. Update: one person contacted me 10m before the hour ended and the doctor called me by phone and could finish part of the session. My doctor is nice and understanding and helped me through my anxiety. Next Monday the office called me and the person insisted they sent the Zoom Link which, again, I never found. I told them that I work remote all the time and I know how these things works. The woman was kind of annoyed but the emails have the evidence of no meeting link sent."
