"This is one of the best stores you will ever go to for several reasons. First and foremost, they have everything you are looking for regardless of how unusual or basic. Moreover, often times, people visiting the Mayo Clinic from far away are not in the best of spirits. Coming into the Eagle Store helps, a lot! It is a family owned business and they go out of their way to make you feel like family as well. Year after year, when I return to Rochester, they ask me about every member of my family and how they are doing. They are warm, friendly, wonderful people who go to great extremes to cover every need you could possibly have while you are there. I don't know how to rate this place as high as they deserve to be rated, as five stars are not enough. Lastly, go next door to the family owned grocery store to meet the family matriarch, Warren - an absolute treasure!"

"Very nice hole-in-the-wall convenience store. We were searching for a local grocery store within walking distance from our hotel as well and decided to try this little place. It has a lot of things to choose from, and we were able to get what we needed. Very friendly owners, two brothers, that we met. Very accommoating and gracious. We will visit again the next time we are in Rochester. Thank you."

"I'm in Rochester for medical care and wasn't familiar with grocery stores that were within walking distance of my hotel. While I like going out to eat, it isn't my first choice for ALL meals. (I also like to have snacks available) While searching for places I found this delightful store just across from my hotel. I told the young man who directed me to the grocery area that I read it is locally owned. He said the current owners have owned it since 1974. I can only assume that the gentleman helping check me out was the owner. While talking with him, he told me that his family was from South Dakota (like my mom and dad), but he was born at home in rural North Central Iowa. I wish I had taken a picture of him. He looked so daper with his bow tie and the sparkle in his eye. I'm not related to anyone associated with this store. I believe in supporting locally owned mom and pop businesses. If you happen to be in the Mayo campus area, please check them out."
