"Food items at Asian food stores used to be significantly cheaper due to lower labor and material costs at the source (Asian countries). It also reflects the fact the they spend less in maintaining business standards in facility and hygiene (dirty, messy, especially the smell at the sea food section). Suddenly over the past couple of years, for the same food items their prices are marked up to the same level as the mainstream American food stores despite the lower standards in packaging, old date (take longer to ship from Asia). As such, they are no longer that attractive. Why would one pay the same price for lower quality except some unique Asian food?"
"Saigon Far East just opened back up, same location. I’m glad they were able to come back after the devastating fire. The store is so nice, all new shelves, there are lower prices, everything is very fresh, organized. Very affordable neighborhood market prices. I will for sure be back. There store has good safety precautions, every one wears masks, they have hand sanitizer, the store is nice and spacious also. Great Job Guys"
