"I came across this treatment center thru refferal of my psychiatrist in grass valley. I am 28years old with a severe needle phobia. My first traumatic experiences were before i was ever a year old through malpratic in russia where i was born. I struggled with dentists and drs and vaccines my entire life. I developed pannic attacks and anxiety that only worsened with each new traumatic experience. I worked with Dr. Zasio and therapist Jessica. I spent all of 8 days in treatment including my first day (mostly paper work) and my last day (basically just planning out my dental surgery. Day 6 we did my first ever blood draw. Dr Zasio went along and made me feel so confident and supported. I dont know that ive ever worked with such a genuine person who cares and is damn good at her job. And the rest of her staff are all top notch as well. This facility provided me with educational literature specific to what i was going through, they gave me exersises to do at home and has the most wonderful group meetings in the morning. The exposures were done so well that i never felt overwhelmed and got to watch my anxiety levels go down at the end of each session. I just completed my first dental surgery removing 7teeth in one visit! I never cried or hyperventalated and felt so comfortable with the staff. THANK YOU DR ZASIO AMD STAFF!!! U guys gave me my life back "
"I have my life back and I can smile again!! I don’t even know how to begin to express the gratitude I have for Dr. Zasio and her team. As a sufferer of mental health issues for almost 30 years, the best decision I have ever made in my life was coming here. I was treated with dignity and respect and their number one priority was always my health and well being. Thank you Dr. Zasio, I have hope, I have joy, and for the first time in years I look forward to my future. If you are out there struggling, please don’t hesitate coming here. It was the best decision I have ever made."
"Despite Dr. Zasio's claim that she would "meet me wherever I'm at", she refused to help me because I use cannabis for PTSD-related nightmares and severe insomnia. I've tried every sleeping pill there is (klonopin, xanax, ativan, ambien, and countless others) and the prescriptions don't help. She is narrow-minded and radiates an aura of superiority. Interactions with her felt uncomfortable because of how she treated me. She was judgmental, cold, and unempathetic. In contrast to the therapist she paired me with, who actually seemed human and pleasant to talk to, she seemed like a narcissistic TV personality. If you're looking for someone down-to-earth, stay clear of Dr. Zasio."
"My oldest daughter was diagnosed with emetophobia (fear of vomiting). After seeing many therapists, she was continually diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. The treatment she was receiving was not working. I began researching other options and came across The Anxiety Treatment Clinic. She finally received a proper diagnosis of OCD and began exposure response therapy. She began their outpatient intensive program which consisted of 3 hours a day of therapy. The first hour was spent in group therapy and the rest in individual therapy. She loved the program! All the therapists make the clinic feel so welcoming and such a safe space. The kids are all able to connect with one another and are allowed many breaks throughout the day to form friendships. I loved this about the program because my daughter was able to make friends that were going through similar things as her. She is still in touch with those friends today. My daughter and I cannot say enough good things about the ATC. My daughter is off anxiety medications, and she is doing amazing! This program is truly life changing! My youngest daughter started having emetophobia too. My husband and I knew we needed to get her into ATC as soon as possible because it was beginning to take over her life. She was very apprehensive about starting and really struggled with feeling comfortable without me (mom) there. Dr. Zasio allowed me to stay with her for a few days and slowly let me leave her side. This helped my daughter to gain the confidence she needed to succeed. She is currently in the program, and she is doing fantastic! Dr. Zasio and all of the staff are incredible. They are so kind, caring, and love watching the kids succeed. They push the kids to do challenging exposures in a way that empowers your child to overcome their OCD. My husband and I feel so blessed that we found this place. It has truly helped our children get their childhood’s back and not be controlled by OCD."
"Unprofessional, manipulative, and spiteful... Absolutely disgusted with our experience. We brought our teen daughter for help with her anxiety, & everything seemed to be going well until her therapist & I had a MINOR disagreement over my daughter's extracurricular activity (sport). After that, the therapist became unpleasant & started asking my daughter probing questions... And then proceeded to try to use the information he had "collected" to report us to CPS using FALSE allegations! We came to them for help, & instead got stabbed in the back. My daughter no longer trusts these "professionals", and neither do I. Moral of the story: BEWARE!"
