"My experience at Acupuncture Medical Center has been better than I could have anticipated. When I first came to Owen, I was dealing with tendinitis in my wrist and thumb, gut issues, hormonal dysfunctions, and other things I didn’t even know about until my first assessment. One of the main reasons I gave acupuncture a try was because my husband and I knew we wanted another baby soon, and my first pregnancy was extremely tough. I was sick the whole pregnancy with HG (hyperemesis gravidarum) and I knew i didn’t want to deal with sickness in pregnancy to that extent again, especially with a little toddler running around. Owen has worked on so many internal aspects of my health that not only quickly healed the tendinitis in my wrist, but helped me get pregnant and have such a different pregnancy experience physically and mentally this time around. "I have been going to Acupuncture Medical Center for a few months now and I can't express how grateful I am to have discovered Owen, Mollie, and Ryan! I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis (sudden onset) and could not lift my left arm without extreme pain, nor walk any distance (10 feet turned out to be a great distance!) without extreme pain in my right hip. Both the rheumatologist and the orthopedic doctor, after looking at my MRI results, said that there was nothing they could do for me without invasive surgery and rehabilitation therapy that may not even work. I had heard of acupuncture being helpful so decided that I had nothing to lose by trying. I am so glad I did!!! I can now lift my left arm over my head without pain. It's nice to be able to wash my hair without crying the whole time. I can walk without pain in my right hip, climb stairs without pain, I can golf again, and, you know, live my life! "I am familiar with getting acupuncture and herbs in the past so I wasn’t expecting much. I went anyways because another cancer patient I knew swore Owen’s treatments supported her Chemotherapy that saved her life. I had stage 4 and a rare cancer with only 14% chance of survival with chemotherapy. My first session was like a miracle. I arrived with my portable oxygen tank, a big belly full of cancer (after surgery and it came back full force), my husband had to help me to a seat inside the clinic. After getting evaluated the traditional way (listening to pulse on both hands in more than one area) I had a few quick needle pokes. In just 10 mins, I was able to get up carried my large purse and walked out unassisted. My husband was a bit shocked seeing me walking out unassisted without my oxygen tank and carrying my bag to the clinic entrance. He signed off on a full 8 weeks treatment without hesitation. That treatment was just the start of how effective these acupuncture and later herbal remedies were. It had an accumulation effect that brought my body to fully normal function and my routine lab work as a cancer patient in active chemotherapy confirms it. Lab began with spikes showing poor liver function and kidneys have issues to seeing the numbers dropping back to normal in just a couple of acupuncture sessions. I was amazed that Owen was able to assess it listening to my pulse before I got the lab results. Later his GI herbal drink replaced all the OTC GI pills I was taking to deal with indigestion, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and only the herbs solved the cramping side-effects from the Chemotherapy. Then came the White Blood Cell booster injections with side-effects that nearly gave me a heart-attack; but without it my body may have to stop chemotherapy due to not having enough WBC to sustain chemo. I tested the herb pills over a period of time against my injections and the numbers correlated. It was as good as the injections in what my oncologist were looking for, though they are skeptical as all herbs are not “FDA” approved and I’m sure they can’t encourage you to take it. As my oncologist saw the numbers, know that the side effects were getting worst and without the herbs and I was starting to get neuropathy (nerve damage from chemo-drugs) that meant I had to stop my chemotherapy, my oncologist wouldn’t stop me from taking it either as long as I was willing to take the risk. My chemotherapy was effective but after 3 rounds my cancer marker was still not lowering to normal range. Without the herbs to detox after each chemo infusion, so I can recover for another round of it, my treatment to fully eradicate these aggressive and rare cancer was jeopardized. So after 6 sessions/rounds of Chemotherapy, my markers finally hit normal which means all my health/organ function also sustained normal thanks to Owen’s acupuncture and herbal remedies sustaining my chemotherapy plan. It reversed the symptoms of neuropathy that started to develop, I stopped using my oxygen tank after first 3 weeks of acupuncture, it also stop my nausea and lack of appetite side-effects so I stopped losing weight, and then my overall health eval hit normal range after the first 8 sessions of acupuncture. My PET CT scan confirmed the cancer has subsided and not new activity and the chemotherapy was confirmed effective. My oncologist confidently affirmed the results and stated that usually for those with my cancer type that were responsive to chemo (only 34% of patients) the results are 100percent remission but finishing the 8 rounds of typical chemo treatment was recommended. I’ve been recommending them to anyone having to deal with chemotherapy. I’ve seen a teen being assisted to the outdoor treatment chair by her mom, limping. After Owen’s 5 minute treatment, she was able to walk back to her car unassisted. I’ve seen Owen treating an elderly who couldn’t get out of her car and he brought his treatment supplies to her car. While I started with skepticism about the effectiveness of a 5 minute procedure before, and now I no longer doubt it."

"Mike and I have been going to acupuncture for a few months. We both have been impressed on Owens knowledge and our treatments have helped us both. We both think that even though we have been out of pocket money we both believe our health is more important. I have personally gone to other Acupuncturist and have found little or no relief.
