"This is a true 1 star. Outside of my general physician, the quality that was Arch Health Medical has deteriorated ever since switching to Palomar. It feels as though a few memos have circulated to alienate the patient base into moving to a different practice. My final straw is doing labs. If you visit this facility, then more and likely, you live in Ramona. So, you always had the ability to do your labs at this facility. Well, no longer. And like a silent fart, no warning given that you'll have to go to Escondido or Poway, not a convenient drive either way. They even could have told me they do not do labs there anymore when I called to get labs scheduled for an upcoming appointment, but no, that would have meant "thinking about the patient." So I take the drive to Poway, where I find another Palomar facility, which has a line lined up outside in the hallway 12 people deep. There is no standing room at all in the office. And a rude individual when asked, "About how long?" responds with, "can't you see all these others here, geezz, then something in Spanish and then 2-4 hours." Well, guess I'm not getting labs. Oh well, not like this cash cow cares about my health anyway. Good thing I have pretty good insurance, so I can change my main facility and not deal with anything associated with Palomar ever again. I'm pretty sure that they, Palomar, are going to close the Ramona office, why else would you treat your patients this way if not to get them to switch places so they, Palomar, can have a fictitious way to close the facility? Well, I hope this helps your decision to stay away from this facility and any other Palomar facility. And, if unfortunately you are unable to, then I wish you the best of luck."
"It takes FOREVER here, yet they spend 5min in the room with you. They constantly disappoint & fail."
"Urgent care i question that statement me and my fiancé went there on the 16th of June because of abdominal pain gave us the run around for a couple of hours my fiancé told them she had I.b.s a couple of times or the span of 11 years back then they gave her a prescription to help with abdominal pain they didn’t wanna listen instead sent us to another urgent care in Poway talk about a mess. They gave us a piece of paper with one address on it and told us to go to another one we get to the other urgent care and told to go to the main hospital which they had no clue what we were talking about so we went back to urgent care and they were about to put us through the same runaround until I spoke up telling them that’s where we are sent to they took urine samples 4 vials of blood did an ultrasound Needless to say we were there for 9 hours waiting for the results of the ultrasound. then informed at 9 o’clock they be moving her to emergency to Poway emergency same building different floor basically we were told it wouldn’t be much longer for them to read the another three hours and in that time span they needed more blood because they didn’t get the blood from her so total eight vials of blood from her and she’s a hard draw, which means no real blood vessels to get blood from and they wanted a urine sample they don’t talk to each other so the nurse took her to the bathroom. She went to the bathroom and after the fact realized she need a urine sample by the time we left I was so stressed. We were so stressed. I felt like I was having a heart attack so at the end of the day they finally got the ultrasound read and said there was nothing wrong. Everything look good but the abdominal pain was still there, so what they did gave her a Pepcid AC and omeprazole which she was already taking omeprazole since we live almost 2 hours away from Poway we wanted to go home but the prescriptions they wanted us to get was in Escondido which from Poway is 45 minutes told us that was the only 24 hour pharmacy and didn’t want to hear anything else basically go there or don’t go there that’s your only option so we just came home. I was so tired from the event almost fell sleep at the wheel Luckily, we have five more miles to go. We’re home didn’t get home till after two in the morning. We weren’t the only ones frustrated by the amount of time it took for anything to happen. something better change and soon because after all said & done. I felt like an inconvenience and that they were there for payday and quitting time."
"Thankful we have Urgent care on Ramona. We arrived Sat around noon with Covid symptoms. RN Edie was reassuring and kind. George Knapp NP, took time to explain what was happening healthwise, addressed all of our concerns, and prescribed medications that were non narcotic, without antibiotics."
"Wish I could give this place zero stars. Traveling thousands of miles from home and getting sick is bad enough. Not being able to get medical care makes it much worse. A family member is an established patient with this group but I was refused care with their primary care providers because I was “just visiting “ and would not become a regular patient - their words, not mine (ie: a source of regular income for them). I was advised to go to their urgent care, which I was desperately trying to avoid because my family member had just had a very negative experience there. I decided to check out the UC website, and read there that if you “are not an established patient with a Palomar primary care practice, the patient must pay with cash or credit card and then try to get reimbursed from their insurance company on their own.” Whaaaat??? This medical business has totally lost their connection to the concept of “patient care “!"
