"The doctors are ok but it takes a month or so to get a referral then five months to get a consult, just to find out that your going in the wrong direction, back to PCP and another five months for a different consult. When you are in pain this is exceedingly frustrating. I pay a lot of money for this insurance, Sharp needs to do better."

"What hospital only has ONE stretcher in their entire ER to help with in-bound emergency patients? i would definitely go to another location with higher reviews if you can."

"It took me two months to get an appointment and they would not let me see the surgeon it was it was a PA assistant and then when we were in there talking, we decided on what we were going to do but then she turned around changed it after I left and now I’m waiting another 2 1/2 months to see the surgeon so there’s a total waste of time at five months and they already know I have to do surgery but they keep changing on what they’re going to do before the surgery even starts. They seem to not know what’s going on and how the process works."

"Came back to Sharp Rees Stealy after a 2 year leave do to location change. Absolutely not the same place. They have the best doctors and nurses but as a company they really went totally downhill. It's taken me over a week to get someone on the phone. This after 2 visits to urgent care, a fax (yes a old fashioned fax), several hours on hold (multiple waits of over 1/2 hour with no answer) and finally calling my insurance to complain about not being able to reach my pcp. Still haven't got an appointment or referal. Can't say anything good about sharp as a company. Would recommend looking elsewhere."

"I have been with Sharp for a few years and it’s just gone down hill. I think the healthcare is mediocre at best, if not bad. I find the doctors to be very dismissive and it’s really hard to get appointments. I waited three months for a physical to then have it canceled. I would recommend going with any other option in San Diego if possible."
