"They react in a very professional manner in an ever challenging atmosphere, they have shown that they truly care and go above and beyond. One suggestion is a staff list with titles/names and perhaps their emails for clients, it is confusing to a new person, and maybe names/titles on office doors as well. Also, when a person moves down in level of care, a clear explanation of the new expectations of each level would be most helpful. Thanks for all you do MHC!"

"All things considered, my experience here in the LaJolla house was a positive one. While there were some rules that I didn't agree with at all (I thought the program director lacked any kind of empathy and was quite stubborn), for the most part, I benefitted greatly from my time here and grew as a person. The therapy groups were thought-provoking and the therapy sessions were helpful. The medication management was useful and finally got my insomnia under control. My case manager (Michael) was excellent and I always felt comfortable bringing any concerns to him. My therapist (Morgan) was caring and compassionate. The clinical director (Tony) was very kind and compassionate. Megan in admissions was very helpful."

"This is the best therapeutic center I have ever come across. My son has had a very difficult journey for the last year after developing schizophrenia. We had three months of nightmares in psychiatric wards, followed by two residential facilities. He was admitted to MHC in La Jolla in May and the experience has been fantastic. Even when he had two roommates, he still enjoyed it. The staff are out of this world. He loves every one of them. He recently graduated and he’s back to his own self. The psychiatric care is marvelous and involves the parents. Too many facilities say that he’s an adult so you can’t participate, but MHC involves you on a weekly basis. Do not hesitate to have your loved one be in the care of MHC in La Jolla. Thank you, Juan, EJ, Oren, Craig, Morgan, and many others that I don’t know. And Dr Joey!! The best!"
