"I called earlier today inquiring about what services I could receive urgently as I have been to this center before in 2018 and I am having a mental health crisis. I left my name and let them know I would be coming later. When I arrived I called and two staff members came out to speak to me, the only one who I spoke with and interacted with was Damiana. She questioned me on why I was there and during the whole interaction spoke to me in a rude and condescending manner, as if it was a huge inconvenience for me to receive any services there. I explained the symptoms I was having and after this she proceeded to say "you're not having any suicidal behaviors" after I had explained that I was. It felt as if she was questioning me repeatedly because she didn't believe I was "mentally ill enough" because I maintained a calm affect throughout the interaction and to her this is not what a manic episode "looks like." After I told her what medication I was on she still questioned if I had been diagnosed with anything, when she should know that they don't just put you on mood stabilizers/anti-psychotics without a bipolar diagnosis as someone who works in behavioral health. This interaction was a drastic difference to the treatment I received in 2018, and I will be recommending to everyone I know not to go here/send their loved ones here. Damiana clearly needs more training on how to interact with patients/people seeking services, and should not work in behavioral health at all if she cannot find it in herself to have empathy for people who are struggling and speak to them in a respectful manner."
"I just want to say that I am very concerned at all the one stars comments being reported and the facility has not made an attempt to respond back. That has me believe that the problem is the staff. As for me I was had an emergency and was looking for a place to take my child but reading the rates literally scared me away I hope I can find a place that does have compassion and loves what they do to receive patients coming in need of mental health services"
"Horrible experience! They wasted my time when they failed to mention they don't prescribe controlled substances. They'll give you anti-psychotic medication and pump so many of those medications in you that you look as if you're about to die, but they won't give you what really need. Anti-psychotic medication hits you harder than anti-anxiety medication and messes you up real bad, yet they lack the fortitude to actually help people in dire need of help. Their referal services are also outdated. Most places they refer you to don't exist or their policies have changed. That's very lazy on their part. I went in there seeking help and came out with homework to look for help when I called them out for their lack of knowledge of the facilities they were referring me to. They enforce wearing face masks, they just don't follow them. If you can go to a hospital or anywhere they have grapefruits to give what you need, I recommend you go there instead. A complete waste of my time, if they had been honest with me the first time I spoke to them, all this could have been avoided. I'll never go here again."
"Why am I standing outside literally for five to ten minutes in the heat. I’ve used the intercom as it stated on the door and no one came to the door. Called the intercom second time and you hear laughing, giggling and unprofessional remarks. I see inside there is a line and receptionist sitting at the front desk. A staff member came out the door going to her car and happen to open the door. If the staff member hadn’t been leaving. I guarantee I still would be standing there. When you don’t take your job serious enough to actually care about the patient. Please find another occupation!!!"
