Our 5-year-old son, who was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis, had both knees inflamed, one being stuck at a 90° angle, and rendered him unable to walk. As if that was painful enough to watch, the pain it caused him was excruciating, and he reached a point of suffering that we had no idea was possible with his diagnosis. Being a father himself, Dr. Sickinger also made my son feel comfortable, and helped to alleviate his fear during the procedure by talking him through it and being mindful that he was working with a young child. After a traumatizing stay at the hospital, this meant as much to us as the procedure itself. Immediately after the injections, my son was pain free, and slept through the night for the first time in months! To say we are grateful to Dr. Sickinger and his team is an understatement.
