San Diego Whale Watch

"We went today on the late afternoon tour. The water was rough and the staff were really prepared for the seasick passengers. On the cruise we did see a number of grey whales, lots of dolphins sea lions and an array of birds. Our first whale sighting was only 15 minutes out. We were also on the water for a beautiful sunset. The staff was very good and extremely helpful."

"We had a fantastic time with the San Diego Whale Watch crew today on the sunset cruise! We hadn't even left the harbor and saw our first whale! They warned us that seas were a bit rough and gave everyone great advice. We still had many people who were affected by the motion of the ocean. Crew member Cole did a fantastic job with everyone! He was there to provide supplies, comfort and support to everyone on board. He really made the trip! He answered questions, showed enthusiasm for sightings and socialized with patrons. The cruise was beautiful, we saw whales, dolphins and had a beautiful California sunset!! I highly recommend booking this cruise!"

"This was a great adventure! I’ve been on other whale watching rides but loved the touch of having the animal expert on board to share information about what we were seeing. The crew was friendly and competent. It was nice to be on a larger boat so I could roam around to see on all sides for best views. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again another time."

"The whole experience was great - I went for a sunset tour. The staff were all friendly and helpful - a very easy experience of checking in and getting on the boat. They provided great info, but kept it light and fun. Nice selection of snacks on board if you need something to eat. The picture package of the pictures they took was wonderful - it allowed me to just enjoy the experience and not try to get photos of whales on my phone, the pictures they took were so much better than anything I could have taken."

"My family of 4 had an amazing experience with San Diego Whale Watching! Service was great, all of our boat crew members were extremely friendly, professional, & just overall made this experience great. Felt very safe & in touch with everything as well, very reassuring to those who may have some ocean anxiety. We booked the 3pm sunset watch, & it was beautiful! We were able to see 3 grey whales, while also keeping a good distance. Staff provided us with plenty of knowledge while observing these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. Was such a beautiful & awesome experience, I highly recommend. (didn’t get the clearest whale pics, i was living in the moment)"
