"Walking into this place I had high hopes I drove clear out to San Luis thinking the atmosphere would be better as I’m young and nervous and just wanted someone to talk to about my concerns instead as soon as I walked in the girl who called my name wasn’t friendly didn’t say hello just sort of did he job and left whatever that was fine but then the actual doctor came in (Michele Cordova) and was completely rude the whole entire time. I was so taken back with how rude she was right away she was asking me why I was there if I already had been checked and diagnosed I told her I was never checked but that the last doctor told me what he thought it possibly may be she proceeded to tell me it showed in her chart that I did. After her looking further she said ok well what are you wanting from me? So I took a deep breath and explained my concerns she was annoyed the whole time and anytime I tried to say anything she shut me down she was very passive aggressive and just overall seemed like she absolutely hated her job. People like her shouldn’t be working with people who only come with concerns. People in the medical field should be compassionate and willing to listen she just overall seemed like a bitter mean lady who was just unhappy and unpleasant smh"
"Other than some minor office issues with the pre-procedure appointment due to COVID, in the end, my colonoscopy experience was as good as it could be. Dr. Brown was super personable, professional, and he answered all my questions and made me feel very reassured about the procedure. I did find that the instructions for the wonderful preparation drink called for an over the counter item in a bottle size that I couldn't find anywhere so I had to adjust and measure ounces. This need to manually convert units and figure out the ratios may have been a clever trick by the office staff to provide me with a diversion to take my mind off of the awful taste, and the explosive bowel response. Once at the surgery center, the staff was awesome and professional. I was given a smock to change into, with specific instructions to leave the opening at the back - reminding me of the procedure about to happen. Once situated, they cheerfully offered me a warm blanket as they started my IV and I swear I didn't feel any pinprick whatsoever. Very gentle and competent professionals. Dr. Brown came over to say hello and eventually I was wheeled into the procedure room and after about 10 seconds of small talk, I was out like a light. After I woke up, Dr. Brown informed me that everything went well, and they gave me some juice while I regained my dignity/wakefulness. The office called me the day after the procedure to check-in and this was a very thorough and thoughtful touch. I was totally comfortable the entire time - start to finish. Super team."
"Worst experience I've ever had. Dr. Rodgers himself is nice and everything, but even he seems defeated and apathetic about his struggling staff. They don't answer their phones. They don't refer things correctly. They don't inform Dr. Rodgers of information that other hospitals have sent. The last time I was there it was complete chaos. Nobody knew anything. Nobody could get the computer systems to work. And last I heard he's only doing telehealth now. Quick paycheck for him I suppose! Good luck getting anything done for anybody who has to go here."
"If you like being pressured into medications that you don't want or a colonoscopy / endoscopy you don't need then I would recommend this practice. Right off the bat it was a pretty bad experience, the PA I saw didn't know what she was talking about and had to look up things up on her computer. As someone who was raised by a very well respected and highly regarded NY doctor, I can tell you that this place deserves less than one star. Even after I told them I was not interested in a colonoscopy "my dad is a doctor" they proceeded to hand me the pre procedure protocol papers and started telling me what i needed to do before the surgery i told them I didn't want. Now, a few weeks later I receive a call from the receptionist telling me i need to schedule my colonoscopy (??) The PA I saw never followed up with me, and this is the first call I receive? Ontop of that the PA was trying to push this medication on me that I, nor my gastro from NY had ever heard of. After telling me that she only has one or two patients that she needs to medicate she says "almost every patient of mine who has taken this has had positive results" ... I'm sorry, but is that one person? It was odd how hard she was trying to push it, even after I told her the side effects didn't sit well with me. 10/10 do not recommend."
"Have had two appointments with this firm, both miserable experiences. Was sent to one location at 7:15 AM to find the office closed. finally was sent to the SLO office and was told there that the computer makes changes to appointments without the staff's awareness. HUH?? Experience with this group has been exceedingly frustrating."
