"I have been to see the Eye Specialist’s at Spectrum since they have taken over and before and have always found the doctors extremely kind and knowledgeable as well as the office staff. I have several medical conditions that require me to be seen as a medical patient every 6 months. 2 weeks ago, I saw Dr Amy Chang and told her I had been seeing flecks or spots in my right eye, and she was extremely thorough with me and cautious. Dr Chang sent me to the Retina Specialist to be safe and I am so glad she did as I had a tear in my eye and the Retina Specialist had to use a laser to close the tear. Dr Chang saved me from having a detached Retina because she was so thorough. Thank you so much Dr Chang!"
"Finding a new eye doctor is very overwhelming and stressful.....My first visit here and let me tell you that Dr. Winkler and her staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Thank you!"
"Extremely unprofessional office, from receptionist, to doctor, to billing department. All around incompetent. My first time there would be my last time. Receptionist collected $30 co-pay even though I told her that I've checked, re-checked, confirmed and re-confirmed with my insurance company that this was a routine visit that should NOT have a co-pay. She insisted on charging me despite me telling her that I've confirmed many times with my insurance company. I called my insurance company again after the visit and they said that they shouldn't have charged me. As far as Dr Jeff Tsao, he breezed in without even introducing himself and couldn't wait to get out of the room, having spent 3 minutes tops. Disinterested, bored, and unfriendly at best, with zero bedside manners. Dr Tsao also lied about the medical codes. He claimed codes with eye issues to justify a regular office visit for the co-pay. I had NO issues whatsoever and he neither diagnosed nor did he treat. This is FRAUD, cheating unsuspecting or uninformed patients. Now I'm left dealing with their billing department which is also a huge pain to get the co-pay refunded. A nightmare to say the least, requiring numerous calls to my insurance company and their billing department, a total waste of my time. I wonder how many co-pays they have erroneously collected over time and fattened their pockets with money that doesn't belong to them!"
"Dr Tsao gave an incorrect prescription (verified by another Dr), when we returned to double check before getting a 2nd opinion he treated us rudely and as if we didn’t know what we were talking about. This Dr is not compassionate, caring or professional. Now I’m looking for a new opthamologist because the other Dr in this office doesn’t take my insurance. I sure miss Dr Ray and Dr Kato."
"I have been visiting in Hollister for the last two weeks, watching my elderly mother try to get a refill on some important eye medication from her new doctor at this clinic. The pharmacy sent requests, but the refill still wasn’t being sent. The clinic said her doctor was out of town, or something like that, but no attempt was being made to get another doctor to refill her prescription. They totally dropped the ball. My mom finally had to go into the clinic and tell them face-to-face to please have someone refill her prescription ASAP because she had been without her meds for over two weeks! This clinic is very unprofessional in my opinion, especially the front office. They couldn’t even be bothered to get back to my mom about when and how her prescription would be filled. I suggested she find an eye clinic better suited to working with the elderly."
