Sutter Walk-In Care - Oakland

"During the start of the weekend I had a sore throat and I just knew it wasn't a typical cold. Cautiously ruling out Covid with an at-home test, I had an inkling it was strep and that antibiotics would be needed. Sunday morning at 3AM, while my throat was on fire, I desperately searched urgent care facilities in the area and found the Sutter Health Walk In Clinic. Disappointed that there weren't any times available to book, I decided to try my luck as a walk-in as soon as they opened. At 11AM, on the dot, I was welcomed into the clinic by a very friendly medical assistant who told me that it wouldn't be a problem being seen. Such. A. Relief. I noticed that the environment was clean and had a good design too. When you feel like crap, these little things matter. To me anyway. I was promptly ushered back to a room where my vitals were taken and was given a strep throat swab. 10 minutes later a friendly NP came in to talk about next steps and treatment for my positive result. I felt cared for and the process was efficient. I am now on my way to feeling better and I am thankful."

"I took my mother there for a quick wellness check and to have a prescription refill issued. We were helped by P.A Jenny Quan, who was very sweet, gentle and most importantly professional. She was very listening, understanding and patient. She answered our questions well and paid attention to our concerns. I would love to see her as doctor some day. Other than that, the clinic was very clean, parking was easy to find, I just wish that it was closer to home since we live in San Leandro."

"2/9/24 The whole facility was just outstanding, from the front desk, to the medical assistant and the physician taking care of my ear problem. The staff treating me was very welcoming and patient with me since the procedure took a little longer than usual (due to my stubborn ear wax). And I thanked them very much for getting the job done and not sending me somewhere else. I highly recommended Sutter Walk-in Care!"

"Front desk and Nurse was wonderful, Friendly, professional and respectful. The Dr. was not friendly, not professionalism that all. She repeat 6 times during my visit that she need be with other patients and after 5 minutes to explain how I feel she ask me what I was there, I try to answer and she repeat to my with loud voice that my answers need be yes or No. I was scared, I wish I was felling good and get out from the room and left her, but I was felling so sick. Probable was her bad day but a Dr. have to be more compassion with your patients."

"Had urgent need for healthcare and had a great experience at this Sutter Health Oakland Walk-in Clinic. Lisa NP was super sharp, professional, compassionate, calming, and knowledgable. I am very experienced with clinicians and thought very highly of her care and professionalism, well done! The support staff was also sharp and professional. Was able to make same day appointment and they ran ahead of schedule. Very impressive. My only constructive feedback is making it easier to get through to someone to make an appointment, I tried and got stuck in a loop didn't get through to someone by phone so went physically to get an appointment for later in the day. Would have been nice to be able to call and get appointment over the phone."
