"Waste of time, drove 2 hrs because it’s the closest clinic. Went there to extract my wisdom teeth and they could not extract. Been trying to get this done since 2019. There’s always an excuse with the VA."
"I find the Mare Island VA clinic to be a good place to obtain good care. Dr. Chou is focused on his patients and their other services are good as well. I use 'civilian' doctors with the approval of the VA but they keep reasonable tabs on me as well."
"Go someplace else Dr Aragon is unhinged and should not be seeing patients I had the worst and most insane experience I have ever had with somebody who was supposed to be a Dr. I am a service-connected vet who is being seen at mare island for my hearing. the VA CALLED ME and said I should get set up for primary Care. I started this process back in June. My first appointment was in July they' assigned me to dr. Aragon. On my first appointment she canceled on me that morning. I live an hour and a half away. They called me at 8 a.m. to cancel a 9 a.m.appointmwnt. They finally got me set for another appointment August 28th. I arrived early the nurse asked me a few questions then spent a lot of time talking about her cats . I went back the to the waiting room a little while later this disheveled looking person came out and got me. I was a little surprised when she told me she was the doctor (Only due to her unprofessional appearance) . And then SHE her self said said that she is often mistaken for someone on the janitorial staff ( you think she would have tried to correct that prior to this point ) . When we got to office the she started firing questions at me a mile a minute and not even listening to my answers . she talked practically nonstop for 20 minutes getting distracted and talking about things that had nothing to do with our appointment for example she got fixated on what type of dogs I have . but when I showed her a bottle of medicine just so she would know what kind of prescription i have been taken, she got all upset about the way the other Dr wrote it. and several times during our conversation she referred to other doctors as stupid as well as referring to her patients as stupid and lazy. And at one point she went on a very long and drawn out explanation of how one obtains a visitor's pass at a base. I never asked her about that and she never slow down or let me get a word in to tell her that explanation was unnecessary as I had work as navy law enforcement and know very well how to get a visitor's pass. And then when she finally paid attention to me and I told her I'd come to see her about my knee she freaked out and said I was dropping a "bombshell" on her. Remember this is the first time I met her. AND this was a new patient visit . But she really did 'freak out' raising her voice and complaining about the fact that I had come to see her with a real medical need and that she did not have the time or resources to do anything about it. I tried to calm her down about my knee. At this point I was seriously confused by her irrational behavior and found myself trying to pacify HER. Because she was visibly angry. she was literally behaving as if she was on drugs not as if she was a doctor. I truly begin to think I was being punked and that this really was the janitor, and not a real dr. No offense to janitors,I'm sure they would have treated me with more respect and courtesy than this so-called doctor did. The appointment continued on for a few moments after she calmed down . She started the exam and then flipped out on me again when she found out I had psoriasis on my knee. This was also on my list of things to be seen for. and when she found out I had psoriasis she stopped the examination and , get this ,she yelled at me for having psoriasis .. and not telling her about it. Hmm I was trying.. at this point I had to say some and I told her that she had not given me the chance to say anything since I came into the office. At this point she yelled at me again and stopped examining me had me get up off the table. at this point I was completely confused she was really visibly upset and was raising her voice at me for having a skin condition. This was absolutely in sane. No doctor has ever treated me with this much disrespect even when I was in the military. This was my experience"
