"This place was great. Super easy, no wait and had a PA and doctor that actually cared"
"I got billed twice for two different dates. I only visited once and wasn't even in the city during the other date. NO ON-SITE DR. TELEDOC ONLY. Very inefficient process - 1.5 hrs. Had an appt too. Explained to nurse condition, of which she took quite 30 min entering information into the system for the video doc, then waited 20 min for the video doc, and nurse tried to re-explain condition to doc but I stepped in to advocate for myself and expedite the process. Doc then paused session for 25 min to review notes and confer with colleagues. Five stars for the nurse. LVN can only do so much, especially as one person overseeing the whole clinic. She was nice and easy to talk to, managed the situation as best as she could. Poorly designed procedures and system was very inefficient."
"AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was initially delighted to be able to make an almost-immediate same-day appointment. I was greeted promptly and courteously at my scheduled appointment time by the on-site nurse. She began the new patient registration process, which I informed her I had already done online; as a result, there were duplicate entries for me in the patient record system, leading to quite a bit of confusion and technical difficulties, which caused incredibly long delays throughout the appointment. As a result of these difficulties, it ended being more than 75 minutes past my scheduled appointment time before I began my telehealth call with the provider. The video call was extremely brief and did not involve any examination of the affected area whatsoever; I was informed by the provider on the call that the on-site nurse was also unable to perform a physical examination. The whole reason I went to an urgent care clinic in the first place is because my symptoms were in an area that was very difficult for me to see on my own, so I needed a medical third-party to physically perform an exam and make a diagnosis for me -- that's the point of urgent care. I was then prescribed antibiotics by the provider; after a visit to a different urgent care clinic -- where I was actually examined properly -- the diagnosis was obvious and antibiotics were not needed at all. This was my first time visiting an Action Urgent Care center, and needless to say, I am extremely disappointed because I had to wait an inordinate amount of time to ultimately receive useless care and will never return; if all I wanted was a simple telehealth consultation, I could have done so for free from the comfort of home. I reached out to request a refund for the (modest) fees I paid for the visit; I was told multiple times by a customer service representative that an Operations Manager would be "contacting me shortly" to discuss the matter. It has been nearly six weeks, and I have yet to hear back from anyone in management. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else."
"I had a great experience at Action Urgent Care the two times I have been in this last week for appointments. I especially enjoyed the service of Angelica Luna, who is normally based out of Castro Valley. She made the experience as enjoyable as it could have been, had me laughing almost the entire visit! Her attention to detail and dedication to providing the best care possible made her stand out even more. Finishing strong, she was able to provide some solid recommendations of specialists to follow up with regarding my specific situation. The service and care provided at this location are second to none, and hopefully you get the opportunity to see Angelica in action!"
