"We found out that we reserved a canoe, but you still have to wait in line. Slightly unorganized system when you first arrive. Navigation instructions were minimal, but they did have 2 spots where employees helped you they narrow river paths. We had to unchained & carry our canoe to the river, ourselves. It was PACKED in the river with people swimming, floating in the middle of the river & all the canoes. I'm surprised we didn't run over anyone!! They said it's a 3hr trip. It took us 4,& we didn't stop & paddled quickly. The river is beautiful, but I would never do it again on a busy Saturday."

"We enjoyed a great day on the Russian River during our vacation to the Sonoma Coast. Burkes was friendly and easy to quickly get into a couple canoes for a family trip with multiple stops for swimming along the way. Fun experience!"

"They are strict on the rules until you are out of sight. The river wasn't deep at all the places due to drought. There is rope swing jump about 2/3rd of the way under the bridge. That was really fun. The Canoeing was fun as well. Best to go with your loved once before you marry them to test out how they'll react if you screw up, because trust me you will."
