White Swan Inn

"4.5 /5. This adorable hotel is as lovely as advertised. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I stayed here with My wife on our honeymoon. The building is old but the staff made effort to accommodate in every way possible. There are some scuffs on walls and the furniture shows some wear. The sofa in our room wasn't functional as a pull out, granted this made no circumstance to us. No central ac, pipes are sensitive, but staff was responsive and there are fans for warmer days. Honestly, it was the little things that made this so incredible. A working fireplace in the room as well as tiny kitchenette and second sink. The mod 60s decor. And that wallpaper! An A large comfortable bed, old school elevator, and wine and cheese in the afternoons. 2 blocks from Chinatown. Would absolutely stay here again."

"We recently stayed at the White Swan Inn for 6 nights, and had a great vacation. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the breakfast/afternoon happy hour were a pleasant surprise. The only thing that wasn't 5* was the location, and that's only because of the access to public transportation and having to walk the steep hill to get to any major transport lines. Other than that, we felt safe the entire stay and appreciated the secured main entrance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back!"

"We loved staying in this delightfully quirky hotel. Our room was large and comfortable, though it would have been nice to have chairs facing the fireplace with a small table between. The tiny kitchenette was a pleasant surprise, and it was very convenient to have a second sink in the dressing area. The dining room (for breakfast & wine/nibbles) was welcoming, and I hope that we return in better weather to enjoy the adjoining outdoor spaces. The hotel is not handicapped accessible, but Nob Hill is not a handicap-friendly area."

"This was our first trip of the year and the trip that I proposed to my now fiancee. We loved how we were greeted with great hospitality by the Concierge. She was very informative and helpful with providing local options for transportation along with options for entertainment/ restaurants. The little details like the White Swan Inn pillow Chocolates, map of the city, and list of recommended restaurants was very nice. The inn was very cute with a lot of historic decorations and architecture. Very central location with a variety of affordable transportation options. We had a comfortable stay and highly recommend!"

"I love the White Swan Inn. They treat their guests with utmost care and respect. The wine and cheese receptions in the afternoon and the breakfasts in the morning are topnotch. The people working at the front desk are always so helpful. And the rooms? I have stayed in three different rooms and they have all been very very nice, with a working fireplace, comfortable bed, and a cozy (but spacious) feeling. The front door is kept locked which makes me feel very safe. The location near Grace Cathedral and Union Square can't be beat!"
