"My mom had both knees replaced and ended up at Vibra Rehab after surgery. Maria and Crystal were two mean nurses that my mom had to deal with. They kept holding her pain medication even though it was prescribed every 4 hours by doctor. These two nurses never understand her pain. They never felt compassion for patients. They shouldn’t be nurses…"
"This was, by far, the very best rehab facility. My wife went from having pneumonia and unable to walk, to walking (with a walker) 100 yards quite comfortably."
"Going from Eisenhower Medical Center's caring arms to Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern California was smooth since all medical records are transferred to this rehab center. The floors are polished and the hallways were cool and inviting with their many large windows. The nurses were just as caring and professional as Eisenhower. The nurses were there 24 hours a day. I enjoyed the nursing staff from assistants, LVN's, RN's and above. I saw two doctors at least, each morning. These doctors were energetic and caring. They were some of my best cheerleaders. All medication, blood pressure, etc., is monitored by these doctors. The third doctor, and seemingly the man in charge, showed up one day when I was drying my hair after a shower. He told me how great I was doing. I felt proud! Taking a shower is hard! Of course I had an occupational therapist with me at all times. The motto for all parties was definitely, DON'T LET OUR PATIENTS FALL! I gave up any independence for that consideration. I was recovering from a craniotomy and did NOT want to fall! I had to be assisted in bathroom needs, and anything I needed to do out of bed. I was so glad I had my own nice room and my own TV. It was always kept clean by the nice custodial staff. There is a huge window in each room. Each bathroom is pretty large. The food was quite good. After breakfast, a kind gentleman took my food order for the next day. He would offer suggestions if I couldn't decide. Therapy was difficult because I was so weak. On the day before I left, we were to do a group activity for fine motor skills. Halloween crafts. I was quite reluctant in my head. LOL!! That activity turned out to be fun. Being with 3 other ladies was comforting. They were having trouble with therapies too. One lady used the word, "torture." I later thought it would be a good thing to do exercises together during physical therapy. I gave 5 stars because there was so much good to say about everything. I do think the mind needs to be addressed. A chaplin would help. The one thing that annoyed me was the unfriendly woman who came into my room at least once per day to scribble down the times for each therapy appointment. She never smiled. She never asked how I was doing. As she seemed to be in charge in the gym, she would sit in the middle of the room with her frowning countenance. She watched one therapist peruse his phone the whole time as he came up with things for me to do. She should have gotten up and redirected this therapist's attention. Neither did she do anything when the guy disappeared for 10 minutes. She was watching the entire time. That woman should be in some back office shuffling papers. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful place to be cared for. A special shout out to Jessica for so carefully putting in an IV with 3 inputs that didn't hurt me the whole time I was there. I am a hard stick and she did her job well! I'll never forget the wonderful care I received at this rehabilitation hospital!"
"I think that Vibra did a great job. The staff was superb, and the nurses and the therapists were even better. I particularly enjoyed working with Eillene, Ariana, Ana, Paige, Dawn, Sally, and many others. Food was quite good, and got better as time went by. Gymnasium was good, but could use some additional machines. Over all, a good experience. I would recommend Vibra to friends and associates,"
"My partner was hospitalized at Vibra for several weeks after a serious bicycle accident. We could not have asked for a better setting, in terms of excellent physical and occupational therapy, nursing, physician, caregiver support, food service, administration. The staff is highly skilled and caring, across the board. In addition, the facility itself is 5 star quality. She went in on a gurney and after intense therapy was able to walk out with the aid of a walker on her own two feet. We are so grateful to have this option in our Coachella Valley."
