"Absolutely terrible!! They do not do pre authorization from the ER!! when I got sent to another hospital they sent me to a out of network facility which I didn’t get a say on my end. Basically going broke now because they sent me to a hospital that my insurance does not cover!! You should be making sure to whoever you send to different places are covered because that is messed up for people who are barely making it. Saving lives sure, but also breaking them"

"The staff here is incredibly kind and empathetic, hence the star- but the billing department is a mess. The manager of the billing department did help me immensely the one time I needed assistance and her colleague was making stressors more problematic. I've learned incorrect billing codes were being used for me (not the first time here) and the manager was able to correct it and save me an additional $450 due to using the right CPT code for my insurance. I currently am being bombarded with 6 vague bills from SNMH right now in excess of $9000 just last month and am in the process of disputing each one and having my insurance look over the CPT codes being provided to make sure I'm not over paying, again. When I go to access my "bills" on their website it continuously says "statement error, expired" or it "doesn't exist, check again." I try to access their live chat help and no one will help me because even though its for billing, they can't assist me with specific details about the bill or logging in... I called for help and was told they would send me a link to help me log in, twice--- still haven't received anything to be able to log in to the portal or access the statements. Zero help at all, I don't want to just not pay bills that are due and I also don't want to pay bills I don't owe if incorrectly charged; its a mess of a system."

"This hospital is the absolute worse one that I have ever dealt with. I sat there for two hours with no one else in the waiting room as my child coughed so bad that at times she was choking and they let her suffer. We ended up walking out after my daughter begged to leave because she was suffering. They probably didn't even notice that we had left considering that they completely ignored my child while we were there. This isn't the first bad experience I've had with this poor excuse for a hospital but it will be the last. As a matter of fact, I've never had one good experience there in my entire life living up here. I'll go down to Auburn or Roseville next time."

I’m so thankful for Grace, Jen, Whitney and Kris for taking care of me. I can’t imagine how difficult this stay would have been without them.
