"I have good and horrible experience here. The first time I went and was accused of being drug seeker only to end up admitted the next morning at Eisenhower with a life threatening condition. The second time everyone was great and treated me with respect and kindness. They can be extremely disorganized and unresponsive during certain times of the day. This last visit the staff was kind(mostly) but the communication between MD/NP and nurses and then nurses and the rest of the care team leaves a lot to be desired. I was left waiting in a bed for 20 hours after discharge because medical transportation couldn’t be arranged even though I was given 3 confirmed windows I would be leaving. There were times when I first arrived when I was left sitting in fecal matter for over an hour because of the lack of response from the nursing staff. Confusion of my medication, dietary restrictions and testing occurred at least daily. I never saw the actual doctor that was supposed to be my physician only his NP who didn’t really listen to or record information I provided. Update: After being asked to email contact information I heard nothing from the hospital. So much for wanting more information to looking into my experience. I guess the figure hiring a social media manager but not the staff to dive deeper will make them look better on the surface. Looking at the discharge paperwork now and reading the notes, updates and summaries they made during and now still a month after my visit there is much missing or incorrect information in their documentation and even my primary care physician and neurologist were baffled at the changes they made to the medication I was previously prescribed. They also commented on notes referencing the first experience I had there where I was accused of being a opiate seeker which is funny because I’m allergic to a great number of them and generally have always refused everything but Tylenol including this last visit where I was offered morphine but opted for Tylenol instead because of mixed reactions in previous hospital visits and procedures over the years."
"You guys may or may not read reviews, but we want to thank you for the care, attention and treatment for my husband when he was admitted. The doctor's, staff, nurses, everyone were exceptional in taking such phenomenal care of my husband. We are truly grateful for each and everyone of you! The Wombles John & Dixie"
"This is the WORST hospital for a true emergency...unorganized, no dialog between anyone. The ICU nurse told us more than the Dr we never saw. My husband went to desert oasis for chest pain. The called EMT to transport him. I wanted him to go to Eisenhower but he was having a heart attack. His right side of his heart was 100% blocked. The ER dr did a great job but we never saw him again. The Dr on call said they would do the otherside which was 80% blocked the following day. Wasn't told anything until 1100 am. They said he would have surgery at 300 pm. I cam back at 230 pm and my husband was very upset. The Dr said he wasn't going to perform the surgery because it was too invasive. I'm so glad cause that idiot dr didn't know one thing.....he was so upset his blood pressure sky rocketed then we had to wait to getvit down and wait for his meds. He was released at 545pm. Never ever go there. Now we can get the cardiologist who did the first procedure at Eisenhower Hospital...worst place ever. Even the interns told us it was the worst unorganized place to work. The staff partied all night and kept the poor patients awake all night."
"We want to compliment Kathy on the front desk at emergency. She is so calm and reassuring despite constant bombardment of incoming patients! Cannot say enough good about her! Please give her a raise and keep her!!! We are here from Manitiba and she was so helpful getting us through the system in this madhouse!!"
"I am a medical professional. My son had two injuries, one from football and another from a golf cart crash. One occurred last year and the other a few weeks ago. I had to go in today with serious symptoms which thankfully it was all viral. We were treated so swift and well. The wait was not long each time like Eisenhower which was awful. The Nurses and Docs were great! They know what they're doing! Have to give a shout out to Nurse Mimi! I was terrified when I walked into the ER. I was so sick. From the waiting room to triage then a bed, I experienced top notch staff all around! IV, labs, xray, CT were flawless. What a wonderful experience and I'm so much better! Forgive me, I cannot recall everyone's names who took such exceptional care of me today, my apologies! Thank you!"
