"This place is poorly run and understaffed. Everything is chaotic, er room is a mess. This is coming from a person who has worked in a ER before."
"I have been here since early morning. ER staff were very attentive. However I waited almost all day for a bed. After a very lengthy interview I asked for food only to be told that the kitchen was closed and I couldn’t get anything to eat until morning. I am now calling DoorDash for delivery."
"ICU department nurses, charge nurses and doctors thank you for saving my dad after he coded. I can't remember everyone name but they were all very kind to me. Angelo, Cynthia, Peter I wish I could remember everyone name you all were amazing God bless ICU department!"
"This place was incredible! Ever want to go on a cruise without paying for it (for some)? Here it is. Lucky me, they gave me an awesome room. Sure, I was admitted for gnarly cramps due to neuropathy. Yes, there were delays, but when they got snappy and pounded me with saline and other muscle/nerve drugs I felt like a million bucks in three days, and that's how I felt after my last cruise. Give JOSE a raise is what I forgot to tell his boss. Thanks for finding my Swiss army knife and delivering it back to me (someone). I'm sorry I accused your staff for swiping it. And for those that had a bad experience, I'm sorry you had to go through it. Please, be reasonable and give these guys a 3, because none of them woke up in the morning wanting to make your life worse, rather, the opposite. And look around to see how hard they work and not loafing about. Be kind, patient, and reasonable. Thank you."
"After reading several reviews before going to the emergency department I took a chance being sick. I wasn’t breathing well and couldn’t drive myself to an actual hospital so this was my best choice. The most attentive employees are the security guards who have zero medical training not nurses/doctors. I explained to them that my throat hurt, I had troubling breathing, I felt dizzy and fatigue. I had trouble staying alert and my body passing out. I was diagnose with a sore throat. I told the nurse that could not be it. I was prescribed cough medicine and nasal spray for allergies, mind you I don’t have allergies. I had a feeling I wasted my time but it’s a doctor right? So maybe he’s right with his diagnosis. The nurse did not want to help send my prescription to my clinic, I told him I have insurance and there’s no need to pay for it. The nurse kept insisting I can pay for it. Easy for someone with a register nurse salary to say. After going home and taking the medicine for 2 days I felt worse. This is when I went to MLK emergency. I diagnose with strep throat and weak lungs giving out. I was put on medication immediately and given steroids to get my lungs going. What was diagnose as just a sore throat could’ve been fatal. Please do not come here drive your loved one to a actual emergency room."
