"I went to emergancy on Friday 02/09/2024 near midnight with a dull heavy pain in my lower right side. I was taken in quickly, and processed. Blood and urine were drawn along with a cat scan. Aides said it would take about 1.5 hours to get results, had to send to outside due to being outside of hours. In less than that time, I received the results. I had an infection on my appendix and a urinary infection. I was given meds and antibiotics, soon a room.I have never had a major medical in my life at 61. My operation was Sunday and I was released on mondayI have never meet a more caring staff in my life. These are beautiful people.Being heavily medicated alters ones state mind. What happens during that stage is nothing personal, although it may feel like it.Thank you for a beautiful easy stay, I am singing your praises loudly"
"Great experience at West Hills Hospital ER last night. I brought my sister in with a dislocated shoulder. Staff were helpful, prompt, and actually kind of cheerful. Although there were about 5 patients already waiting, she was seen within 20 minutes, then out the door with x-ray results in about 90 minutes. Very professional and given the circumstances, a great experience."
"I can't say enough BAD things about their ED (emergency department) I had to go at 4 am today. I fainted and broke my nose. I was bleeding and you could see my nose was clearly broken. It was SO painful and I was crying. I was taken from the waiting room straight to CT scan in so much pain and crying. I asked for pain meds. I got back to a room where a nurse and 2 students began a IV on me. I told them where my best vain is. They ignored me and poked me in a very sensitive spot and MISSED of course just like I warned them. The nurse in charge said they have to learn sometime I said they need to listen to their patient first. She actually said "well when you go to nursing school you can talk"! What nurse treats a patient in extreme pain this way. The Dr. came in and at first she was nice. But as soon as I started to ask for more meds that stopped. She left and I pushed the nurse call button for over an hour. Finally I opened up these reviews and read all the bad ones that said exactly what I was going through. So I called the number and spoke with a nice lady upstairs and she asked for my room number and came down. Instantly I had 2 nurses and my Dr back in my room after 1.5 hours of crying and no one coming. The Dr said "stop crying you are making it worse" like I had a choice. So I had to call for help upstairs to get BASIC emergency care. My insurance will be charged big $ for this horrible experience. They can't be bothered to treat you with kindness during a scary painful time. Please do not come here if you are having an emergency. Go anywhere else. I gave 1 star but it should be ZERO! Don't give these people your $!"
"It’s pretty sad that some of these nurses had no empathy’s not compassion for patient needs. The fact you ran for a nurse and no one showed up after an hour when you have to pee is mind blowing. The level of service is not up to par with their commitment of care I see plaster everywhere. A nurse was so flippant when asked a question saying on thats not my patient and walking away. I would say if you’re burn out from your job as a nurse then maybe this isn’t the best profession you should be in. The fact when I walked into the middle of the room where all nurses were laughing while every nurse light was on asking for help is disgusting. Never have I witnessed such lack of respect or compassion for humans. The doctor was amazing. I would say they need definitely to revamp the nurses there. If you can try to avoid at all costs landing at this hospital. I wouldn’t wish anyone to stay here."
"My brother got sick and I took him to West Hills Hospital. The people who worked there were very attentive and caring, I’m very glad that I chose this hospital. Then he was transferred to the fourth floor, the woman I think was the charge nurse who was very nice and very attentive. The nurses and Doctors, were very competent. Thank you for your good work."
