Reviews of Chavez Park Amphitheater
"Well there's not much to hear seeing as it's an empty amphitheater possibly a low security encampment for wild animals or kids , don't quite know why they even built it . Nothing ever happens here, and they even went on to waste more tax payers money to build the cage around it . But for what at least at night the homeless can walk on through the gate and lock it at night and feel secure in knowing they are temporarily safe ,at least that is til the morning comes ...."
"A beautiful little Park in downtown Long Beach this east of the 710 and South of Broadway avenue I remember the area when I was small and used to go to the pike and it was a pretty run down place but that whole place has been raining vitalized beautiful new apartment building is Parks streets very very nice little amphitheater very clean and well maintained"
"Come here weekly to practice drums. If you see hula dancers, and hear the steady rhythm of the island drums on a Friday evening, that's us!"
"The improvements to this historic park are tremendous. The community center is wonderful, the amphitheater and programming awesome. Check it out for picnics, sports and discoveries."
"There was a lot of disappointing aspects of this park's playground beginning with the fact that it is very worn and old. The sand is dirty, dusty and filled with debris and small rocks. There are also a few areas of the playground that are broken and/or unsafe. It is rusty and there is paint chipped everywhere. I hope they remodel this park soon, it's in a nice area and has a lot of potential."
