"I do not reside in CA. Ended up in the ER here for medical treatment. From the time I walked through the door, they were kind and efficient. Everyone was fantastic from the triage area, to the providers, nurses, CT tech and transport team. I’m not sure how you’ve inspired this wonderful culture but your team is thriving! They even called when I forgot my reading glasses tangled in the sheets on the gurney. I wish I had written down everyone’s names so I could thank them each personally."
"We delivered our daughter at Good Samaritan 2 months ago and had a wonderful experience during and after delivery. The rooms are very well equipped with all things necessary for mom and baby, with some thoughtful additions too. All the staff, nurses and doctors truly care about the patients. They have all required specialty doctors available on site, and the nurses are fully trained in different birthing techniques as well as providing comprehensive post partum care. During delivery, the nurses went above and beyond by not only providing required care but also emotional support and effective techniques to minimize pain. Their pantry is well stocked and they offer a variety of food options."
"My grandma passed away this week, and I’m here to share our experience with this hospital. She was given a blood pressure medication when her blood pressure was already extremely low 101/80. My mom happened to come in at that time and found my grandma unresponsive. Turns out that Her blood pressure dropped to 40/20. They brought her back to life after she was minutes away from passing. She was transferred to the icu. They kicked us out at 8 due to visiting hours.. At 4 am they called us to tell us that grandma had a few minutes left. We arrived to find grandma dead. The nurse was disgruntled and briefly told us that for a few hours she was trying to manage her unsuccessfully. We didn’t ask further questions because we were mourning and in a state of shock. We did not receive a call or visit from the doctor. Fast forward 5 days and the funeral home is having trouble getting a hold of the correct doctor and told 3 different doctors. One doctor is finally identified but he is rude and dragging his feet on signing the papers needed for the cremation a day before the funeral service. I would not wish my worst enemy to go to this hospital. The complete disregard for life, lack of empathy trickles down from the top administrators to the doctors to the staff."
"By far the best hospital I’ve been to. In my experiences - They room you quick, Listen to you, Very professional staff, They take everything serious and run test accordingly. If I ever need to go to ER or take my Child to the ER definitely trust Good Samaritan Hospital."
"My wife and I had a negative experience having birth at the Good Samaritan Hospital. The coordination of care between the doctors wasn't great and that created negative health outcomes for both mother and child. The nurses also recorded things incorrectly and that caused issues down the line. However, we were impressed at outreach once we voiced our concerns to hospital staff. The CEO himself called me and let me know that he would make sure that our concerns would be passed to the appropriate staff. We also had a call with the director of women's services and manager of the mother and child unit which was more detailed. They were all thankful for the feedback and that improved our overall experience with the hospital. We shared this feedback with them with the intention of improving their services and so that other families can go through better experiences moving forward. I am confident that they have a growth mindset and will work on improving."
