"Not worth one star! The administrator is rude, he had zero care for my well being. More worried about texting than doing his job! From now on I'll just go to Redding."
"My son needed to have some tests done and they got us in right away. The ER only took less than an hour. They treated my son so nice and he had a positive experience! Very nice people."
"Extremely poor bedside manners. Went in ambulance with covid-19 positive. Nurses waiting for ambulance vape cartridges and cigarettes glued to mouths as we pulled up. And they acted like I was stupid, would not let me recover before leaving hospital. One nurse explained how they would remove me forcibly and how he was former law enforcement. I appreciate the work you do for the public, but you should learn humility and trying to scare ill patients is totally wrong. The emphasis at this hospital is to dump you out as quickly as possible. Not a place for care. As a result, my wife got covid after having to drive me home before recovery. hospital looked relatively empty but they would not even let me rest before discharging me and acting superior to everything. Our whole family was fully vaxxed and boosted. In my opinion my wife is sick because of this hospital. Last time visited this hospital was 2005 where they misdiagnosed my x-wife with migraines each time - and just dumped us out. Turns out her migraines were Glio-Blastoma Multiform Brain Cancer and she nearly died. Sure am glad we went to the Chinese acupuncturist who correctly diagnosed us. - Will never return. - Will never vote again for funding that hospital and its rotten staff. Resident of Trinity County for 23 years. Side note, the lady at the front was quite nice. The medical staff have much to be desired."
"I wish I could rate the Doctor who cared for my son as a zero or negative number. As soon as I reached the hospital the Doctor was immediately hostile towards me saying he should have gone to Mercy but as a base hospital she had the directive to send the ambulance to Mercy or as soon as he arrived she could have sent him to Mercy but she didn't instead she barely have him an exam and we sat until they could get him in their CT machine. RN Robert was amazing and kind and his assistant the CT tech was great the Doctor horrible. After my son received his scan see waited and waited finally the Doctor came in and said he needed to go to Mercy he has damage to his kidney and liver then walked out...she came back awhile later and told me in front of my 9yo that I could have criminal charges for neglect and abuse put on me and could be arrested because my decision to get him to the closest hospital could have killed him once she said that she walked out again she also told me he had no business riding an ATV (mind you he had his helmet and was supervised by an adult) I had to ask a male nurse or assistant what is going on with my son because she didn't explain fully the nature of his injuries.. honestly I would have been better off driving him myself to Redding and going to Mercy so he could get timely care. Also while I was sitting with my son waiting for transport which that plan kept changing. I was lucky enough to listen to the EMTs in the room across from me talk about my poor parenting skills and decision making. Also the way they treated me was hostile and demeaning with their snide comments.. Luckily my son finally received transportation and was flown to UC Davis via PhI helicopter whose crew was amazing and not judgemental and the care received at Davis was amazing!"
"Worst hospital and care I have ever experienced. I would rate it less than a 1 star if it would let me. Took my 15 month old son in after he fell from a height of 5 feet and passed out. He was conscious when we arrived so they had us wait in the waiting room...for over an hour! Didn't even give him a once over before making us wait. Once in there they said we can't do much but monitor him so you can stay here for 6 hours or you can go to Mercy Hospital if you want tests ran. The floor had dirt on it, there was no sheet on the bed, and the tools hanging on the wall were disgustingly dirty (the tools they exam ears, nose, eyes with etc.) I received a bill from the physician which I paid without question since he was seen by an MD but the doctor did not have the right tools at his disposal to provide proper care. 5 months later I get a bill from the hospital for $500 after my insurance already paid almost $400. When I called to ask what services I was paying for I got the run around. After 7 phones call, no joke, I was told that "we have overhead". They ran no test, gave him no medicine, and the place was somewhere I wouldn't even put my purse down. I paid my bill and will make certain I do not have to go there again. I would have rather driven the extra 45 minutes to have my son properly examined and to actually have my money go towards a decent hospital. If they have to send all their patients to Mercy to get proper care maybe they should take a lesson or two."
