Rooster Rock

"Great place to get asked to be dropped off if you’re homeless, (due to proximity to local bus routes) for some shaded areas, trees, etc — there may be housed people here, but it’s okay…. Just don’t bother them, and usually they don’t bother you. I always usually just get up and walk away from the people who look like they’re coming up to ask me a question. I always just smile, wave, turn around and start walking. People will leave you alone, and this place isn’t heavily guarded at night as long as you stay AWAY from the animal zoo shelter area. Stay out of the super heavily lit areas, and find a place to tuck in…you may be able to get a few hours of sleep at least. Homeless folks, please keep this area clean, and don’t steal anything…I would like to be able to continue to come here for shade, because there isn’t much of it left out here…"

"We love walking to Rooster Rock. 3-5$ to get into Irvine Great Park but it's a great park with lots of space. If you go to this rock- please do not vandalize it. Don't be 'that guy'."
