"It is a clean and nice budget hotel in the middle of the Tenderloin district, Yeah the neighborhood is not nice. So plan accordingly. For the age of the hotel, it is very clean. Do not keep any food in the room or keep it all in the mini fridge and toss trash as produced and you will not see any bug issues. Staff is super friendly and helpful. This is a budget hotel, keep that in mind."

"To be honest, it was not nearly as bad as the reviews said. My room was quite big, clean (no bugs at all), it had a TV, mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave, air conditioning, and the bed was super comfortable. The only thing that needed a little pampering was the shower. I would say that the location is quite good as it is near downtown, however, it is packed with homeless people and it can get a bit scary if you are not used to that. The hotel is also home for a few homeless people as well so keep that in mind. I honestly didn’t feel quite safe at first (I’m a woman travelling by herself), but in the end nothing happened and the hotel staff was always super kind. I even got a package from Amazon and they held it for me until I arrived. If it weren’t for the area I would have given this hotel four stars. Downside: The elevator, the entrance of the hotel and the halls are quite old and they smell pretty bad."

"Good location although there are plenty of homeless there. The elevator works half the time it's a 2 door system and many of the tenants leave the door open. I'm 61 years old and had to go up 6 flights to get to my room. The management refuses to take responsibility. The manager told me it's not his responsibility to keep the easy access for the different floors. There are plenty of cockroaches and I didn't see anything to deter them. When I open the desktop grotesque scrambled everywhere. Same with the dresser. The location is very nice. It's in a convenient area so for what you get in San Francisco the price is good. The staff are friendly and informative. I was there 2 weeks and eventually had to request the request a changing of the sheets. The room was cleaned at that time 1st time in 16 days."

"Good price for the area there are cockroaches but we have them everywhere in San Francisco. The rooms are very clean. I would not bring kids in the area but adults should be OK. The people at the desk are extremely friendly and informative of the area."
