"Ok.... you read the reviews and see the pics. It looks beautiful....a "mansion" is advertised! The pics are the wedding venue, not the bed and breakfast. However, we did get a bed and breakfast. The place is aged with peeling paint, water-stained ceilings, and no hot water. It was definitely an experience and laughed through most of it. All good but it's not a good review. Don't confuse the reviews with the wedding venue and the B&B.. NOT the same!"

"I’m here trying to sleep but the strong smell of cleaning products on the sheets has given me a headache making that impossible. Even if that weren’t a problem there’s some sort of tumbling noise at irregular intervals down the hall (an ice maker? A shopping cart being pushed one stair at a time?) that’s helping me stay awake after a long day. I literally considered sleeping in my car instead. The furniture is cheap and dented, there is dust in every corner, and the bed squeaks. This place has so much potential, the exterior really is beautiful. But it really is quite run down."

"My partner and I had a wedding at the Vizcaya in February 2024. Despite a winter storm approaching, the weather ended up being fantastic for the festivities and photos. This is an absolutely stunning venue, inside and out. Our coordinators, Rachelle and Haley, were absolutely amazing to work with and they, along with all of the staff at the Vizcaya, made our wedding absolutely perfect. We cannot think of a single thing that could have been better. It was the happiest day of our lives and we couldn't have done it without the Vizcaya!"

"I booked Vizcaya for a corporate holiday party and highly recommend them. The whole process went smoothly and everyone had a great time. They provided the catering, bartender, wait staff, table setup, and an event planner. All I had to do was bring the centerpieces, wine, and entertainment. It took a lot of stress off my plate to have so much coordinated in house. Communication was very clear and they were flexible with us to help meet our needs. Rachelle was our event planner, shoutout to her for being so great to work with!"

"Okay, so I booked a room here on a business trip with my husband. I did not know it was the most romantic place in Sacramento. I was just looking for a clean room, reasonably priced. When we got to Vizcaya, we noticed there was a large set of stairs and, when we got inside, there was another staircase. Not a big deal unless you’re on a two-week business trip and you have 20 bags with you. Then it can seem a little daunting. I was considering changing our reservation when I realized we would have to carry all our stuff up the stairs, but Sergio from their staff really came through for us. He changed our room to a more convenient location, or to people with enough stuff for a small army. What was shaping up to be a much longer night than we intended turned into a really pleasant stay. The bed was super comfortable, the room was clean, and there was a beautiful, soaking tub. I have every intention of visiting sometime in the future. Thanks to Sergio, we had a relaxing night before we had to continue our journey."
