Ramada by Wyndham South El Monte

"It’s dirty and dingy and horribly outdated. The fixtures are old and yellowed, the bathroom fixtures are covered in lime, calcium and hard water stains. Carpets are faded, sofa and bed have been used to death. It looks like something from the set of Dynasty, chic in its heyday, but now seriously outdated. Service was fine, but all the little things are hard to look past. This hotel is screaming for a renovation. A spring was hitting me in the back when I slept, the water pressure is bad, everywhere you look, a stain, an outlet so used it won’t even hold a plug in place or something worn out beyond saving, they need to bring this hotel up to date or close it."

"worst experience of our lives. they said they would charge me $50 for deposit but instead charged us for basically another night at the hotel. after that we for a few hours and came back to our room keys not working. we tried to find help and there were no security guards in sight or someone at front desk. come to find out the guy behind the desk was sleeping out back. tried to call the manager to complain and it takes them 3 business days to even call back. and when i received a call she didn’t even know who she was calling and called me by a different name. i explained to her that about our experience and how her staff said there were many complaints about staff…. she basically was more worried about who told us that over listening to our bad experience. overall the worst hotel and staff i’ve ever had to deal with. find another hotel causd this one will waste your time!"

"This was excellent hotel. The front desk personnel that covers the evening shift was amazing and knew how to resolve issues with her amazing resolution and customer service. Not to mention the area location (El Monte) was so peaceful and clean. Internet was an issue but it was workable (pretty sure they are going to work on that to improve). Other than that amazing stay!!!"

"Dirty rooms. I had to change rooms because it had so many problems... Wet bed, broken furniture flickering lights holes in walls broken drapes and doors. This place obviously used to be nice but has been poorly maintained. The new room was better but the couch has been peed on. Apathetic staff. Avoid at all costs!"

"This place was a joke. So outdated. Rude lady named Marth at front desk. Lost my makeup bag in lobby after she made us leave for an hour and half refusing us an early check in and no one had seen it or claimed it during that time. No camera footage could be pulled up until Monday by management. 1st room pubic hairs were on bathroom floor and dirty in the edges along the walls. Bugs flying around the room and the AC wasn't working right. Moved us to a second room and that room AC wasnt working right either. Furniture was so warped and wallpaper was peeling. Both rooms had a musky smell as well. I was lucky to get a refund as we left and checked out to stay at another place. Very dirty and ran down. To top it off there is NO management on property on weekends so staff says. DO NOT RECOMMEND!"
