The Royal Pagoda Motel - Los Angeles

"I wanted to stay close to Dodgers stadium and this hotel proved to be convenient. Clean enough for my solo stay. No problems for me in this area. Staff was professional and friendly."

"Despite certain improvements that could and should be had, the location of the Royal Pagoda is more than enough to stay there for the duration of your trip. I recommend it 1000%. That part of Chinatown is just so charming and safe. The plaza and its shops are a delight to walk through. LA Historic Park and Cargo Snack Shack are a short walk away for some absolutely refreshing lemonade after a nice stroll. Do yourself a favor. And thanks to the staff at the Royal Pagoda for a nice stay. I wish it could've been longer."

"Was given a room by the roadside despite my request (online) that I wld require quiet rooms. Went back down to reception who gladly changed another room but it’s the same direction. She doesn’t seem to know where the rooms are located and I basically went identify the rooms which seem quieter and asked for availability. For a night stay was alright."

"I would avoid the Royal Pagoda at all costs for cancelling my reservation without my consent. Jonathan is incompetent and their manager, Brenda, is unbelievably rude. I booked a 2 night stay with them and due to changes in my itinerary, I was no longer able to make the first night. I called them to notify them of this and I explicitly asked if I could still keep my reservation for the second night. I was informed by one of their employees, Jonathan, that this would be okay. I arrived the next afternoon and was informed by their front office that my entire reservation was cancelled. They said that they “attempted” to reach me that my reservation would be cancelled if I hadn’t checked in by 11AM. There was no record in my phone or email that they had don’t any of that. It turns out, the reservation was cancelled at 8AM that morning. Which means, they didn’t even give me the chance to keep my reservation. The room I had reserved was already sold to someone else so there were physically no rooms left. I got ahold of their manager, Brenda, to explain that I was indeed not communicated and she was completely remorseless about it. She said “too bad. we don’t have to reach out to you. read the “terms”.” No apology offered, no accountability on the fact of Jonathan that despite my communication, was left ignored and disregarded. Completely classless individuals without any professionalism."
