"The front desk staff are excellent - so helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious and beautiful, especially for the price, and if you get a high floor one they’re also pretty quiet considering you’re in DTLA."

"Beautiful rooms, fully kitted out studio apartments. Incredible value for the price. Sonder the Craftsman would be my first choice for a stay when I return to LA. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, having security around is a plus too. Front doors and elevators are locked by code so you always can feel 100% at ease. We were able to store our bags after checkout while we still had time before heading to the airport. Road noise was present at times, but was never a problem. The room comes with ear plugs if needed. I found that heading west into downtown was never an issue. Common street smarts. We were able to walk around the area around midnight (it was a weekend, however) without a problem coming to and from events at Crypto arena and LA Live. Great location, great rooms, solid price. 5/5!"

"Great architecture and design. The rooms are like high-end loft apartments with full kitchens, washer& dryer in unit. The on-site staff stands out as the most professional, friendly, and welcoming group of any Hotel that I have stayed globally. The front desk staff, security, and housekeeping make Sonder Craftsman a very special place. The neighborhood is great. Like any city use your street smarts and be aware of your surroundings. My only suggestion is that the Sonder app chat employees off-site and I think out of the USA creates a major disconnect between onsite and offsite communications."

"Outstanding large rooms. Great service team. Downtown LA is not for everyone. But if you are OK with it (dirty and smelly in places, some very deprived people) then this is a great place to stay. Next door to amazing Apple Store."

"Perfect hotel for a city stay. First time staying in a Sonder and I loved it. Location was perfect for our plans. Downtown LA isn't for everybody but it's not how the news paint it. Low noise and no homeless around the block of the hotel. Close to restaurants, Metro a couple blocks away. Excellent coffee shops within a 5 min walk. Staff is awesome, they we're there for everything and helped us with our bags both before check-in and after check-out. Mobile key works like a charm, since the keypads to access the property, elevator and room are very heavy to type your code. Room was ample and spacious, complete with a whole kitchen, washer/dryer (although the dryer is very slow to dry, had to do 2 cycles per load), TV and a comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. In everything, one of the best hotels I've stayed. 10/10."
